Keeping Pepper Genes

This Chocolate Fatalii is a bit different than the rest of the pods and I would like to see if I can repeat it in future plants. Is there any possibility? I didn't get a pic of it ripe but here's one I took of it earlier.

I cut it open this morning and as you can see it was completely full of placenta and a boat load of seeds. Too early for me to chomp down on a piece but I did wheeze a bit of the ju uice and it's freaking hot.

Just an overall thick, heavy pepper. Hope I can grow it again.

I didn't isolate it either so I know that lowers my chances too.

If anyone would like some of the seeds just say so and they're yours.

Thanks.

Always one of the generous members, Pat!

The ones you kindly supplied me have germinated, so yours should have some African cousins soon!

PM me your address Jackie.

Thanks Paul. Glad to hear you're having success. You southern hemisphere guys have to keep us northern hemisphere people entertained through the winter so I'm expecting lots of pics and stuff. Yeah, stuff.:P

Good luck!

That is strange! It almost looks a bit like a Scotch Bonnet or Jamaican Hot type shape. Not like a Fatalli at all.
It would be interesting to know if you guys do have success from the seeds and they grow similar.

False alarm folks. I was in the midst of halving peppers to put in the dehydrator when I came upon this one. I obviously had juice from several other peppers on my gloved finger when I tasted this here Chocolate Fatalii.

Last night I picked several pods from the same plant and decided to munch on one. Rather nervous about it too. Shouldn't have been. There's more heat in a picture of a pepper than these have. PRF told me the same thing a while back. I need to start listening to my elders.;) Disappointing to say the least.

I wouldn't mind some seeds mate, if you don't mind sending it to Australia. :D

Beautiful looking pepper, I hope someone can grow that shape in.
