Bury some of the dogs turds in that hole...a bunch of them. They'll quit digging there. You're gonna have a few grubs...just like aphids, slugs, mites, hornworms, cutworms, earwigs...maybe some mice, rats and the occasional raccoon...just part of the territory!

Good luck on the battle of the grubs. Possibly stupid question, but does Bt work on them?

Those Reapers look great. Hopefully the JPGS turns around for you.

First ripe pod of the season. It measures at about an inch. Should I harvest it now?!

I trimmed it as it wasn't doing much.

Nice looking plants DeNNiZ! Will you be planting out this weekend? The Gochu looks great... is that a 1 gallon pot it's in? Good luck with the weather for the next few weeks. I hope you don't get any cold snaps !

MoA showing. Signs of life. Here come the second set of true leaves

Plant maybe this week as our colds will be only 50s at nights. Yes 1gal. Should i move it to 5gal now??

Since the Gochu is podding up ATM it might stress the plant to up-pot now. If you were to strip off the blossoms and pods first though, it think it might pay off in the long run to re-pot in the 5 gal. pot. They always get bigger in the bigger pots.

BT is a soil-dwelling bacteria that kills grubs... Baccillus Thuringiensis. Milky Spore is a type of fungus that does the same.

The greenhouse babies look killer man! Looks like that Reaper is ready to start throwin some buds out eh? The MoA will pull through brotha.

Looking good! Very nice setup!

Vegas? I'm jealous:) Make sure you don't sit at the bar and play poker, they may have to carry you out!

Have fun,

Scott

Man, the greenhouse didn't take long to get moved into! Looks great! I'd pick that JPGS pod. If for no other reason it will allow the plant to focus its energy on recovery instead of maintaining a pod. Besides, looks ripe to me. :)

Like Rick said, Bt is Bacillus thuringiensis. It is a soil bacterium that kills caterpillars and other larvae when they ingest the bacterium. It is the active ingredient in Mosquito Dunks (kills the larvae). It also kills fungus gnat larvae. Given that the grubs are a soil-dwelling larvae, as well, it just might work on them if the Milky Spore did not.

So could one spray this on the soil? As they need to eat it right? I've only drenched plants in the past.

Usually it is something you mix and pour into the soil when watering. At least that is my impression. You don't have to drench the soil. Just put as much water in the soil as you would when watering. That's the great thing about micro-organisms. They multiply. ;)

I'm going to give it a whirl as they eat the heck out of my corn.

Thanks,

Scott

Did the milky spore as well. Either I did put enough or it didn't work. Which is the obvious part.
I'll up pot the other gochu since its just vegetating.

In about ready for any of them to pod up. Gonna plant out maybe this week

Thanks for dropping by scott. Vegas is just blah. I don really play. Usually here for food(buffets) and shows. Don't have money to gamble.

Might have my first pod review this week. And may sow the seeds from this pod. Can't wait to taste.

I've read that beneficial nematodes are a good option as well.

You got some to send?! Hahaha. Can't afford to spend anymore. !!
