LAND OF THE GIANTS 2017 - Biggest Bonnet Competition

Some great looking plants and early pods! Here is my plant, I've now ditched the topped plant and chosen my main gladiator... just starting to bud and fork.

Looking good SR! How would you describe the flavor and heat of the Scotch Brains?
Thanks Stickman, I have only eaten the one pod so far, and that was mixed into a beef curry. From what I could tell, I found the flavor to be fruity, with a bit of sweetness. Much more fruity than floral, with the Bonnet flavours quite noticeable. Up there with one of my other favourites, The Yellow 7 Pot which it reminded me of. It'll definitely be in my grow next season.

Mine are alive and well....still small little bushes in yogurt cups......waiting on weather to get them outside

Good news, Dan! Little bushes better than no bushes!

I'm getting pretty antsy for warmer weather, myself. The
long range forecast says Friday night will be the last night
below 40*F so the Manzanos and Rocotos hit the outside
pots this weekend! I need room in the greenhouse!

Some great looking plants! Can't believe you got pods already Paul, is your plant in its final position and are you planning to let them develop?

These MoAa are in 2-liter pots (since early Feb.) and
Will stay there until plant-out into the 10+ gallon pots.
I'm feeding them MorBloom along with light fish fertilizer
So I think I'll let them go.

I've got my first pod set but the plant is still in a small pot (approx 1 litre - half a pop bottle) so I doubt it will amount to much.  I think it's flowering/fruiting early because it's potbound.  Really haven't the heart to remove it, though.
I think as long as you feed your plants well they
Should be okay, if not giant. Early pods are usually
small and funny shaped anyway, but I'm sure there
are exceptions, and who knows? As I said I'm giving
them MorBloom to help sustain the pod development.

Another pod!

(As posted over on Chillis Galore, hope that's allowed) first fruits forming on the SB MoA plant.  They don't look all that bonnet-like to me, although they are still very small.  The largest one feels very rough and knobbly to the touch.

Lots more flowers (and aphids)
