Limp Leaves

The first set of true leaves on my Jalapeno seedlings are starting to go limp and curl under... is this normal? I checked the soil and it was very dry so I watered them pretty good... that was 5 hours ago and still no improvement in the appearance of the leaves. Any ideas what it could be??? It's just happening on my Jalapeno seedlings. Nutrient def??? Or is this just considered Physiological Leaf roll and there isn't anything I can do about it....?

It's sounds as though your flux capacitor is lacking in amperage, check that your electrostatic discharge is not affected by the negligable effect that can sometimes be caused from the hamster running in reverse.

If that doesn't work you are on your own brother. Hope that helped.

lol PERFECT all is good now! haha actually, I just went and checked on my seedlings and they look like they're bouncing back. I think I let them get a little too dry lol Thanks though... that was some really good advice

on the serious side of things now...pictures?? are you useing grow lights? maybe lights are to close.....poor nutrients in the soil? any discoloration? or just limp?? check the roots out, could be root bound

No discoloration, they were just limp lol... When I checked the soil last night it was bone dry so I watered the hell out of it, and now it looks healthier than ever. I'm just having to water more often than I expected! haha

Yep just a little dry, I get that occasionally. I had one yesterday that actually looked like it was crispy, watered it last night before bed and this morning it's as good as new.

I've read places that you only need to water pepper plants like once every 2-3 days... I'm watering like every night! I think my soil drains too good! I'm just happy it was thirsty and not sick.

I think I may be neglecting my plants because mine get watered once a week and have been doing it that way since I started growin. But everybody else on these forums waters way more than that. I think I may rethink my watering strategy...... think.....think.....think..... No i'm not gonna do it. But I may think about it again later.

ExtremeBurn if I am not mistaken you do have a HID grow lamp that puts out tons of light but also heat which will dry your soil fast. You'll just have to water more often than someone using CFLs or floro lights.

haha... I guess it doesn't hurt to let them get nice and dry before watering. Don't ya get nuclear heat level peppers that way lol

Ya, I didn't really think about that. I am running a 400W MH over them right now at a height of 3 ft. I'll be watering almost everyday I guess lol

Looking good dude... at least you're not over watering them.. that's even worse.. colour looks good, leggyness is in check, leaf size looks nice and big, soo far so good dude...

Thanks dude! At first I thought is was from over watering, then I checked the potting mix and it was bone dry all the way to the bottom lol...

I agree with the above. HID light drying them out. Plus they are in 3.5" square pots right now, correct? I have mine in the same. As you pot up you will eventually be able to cut back on your watering.
