Megamoo's 2012/2013 Glog

I'm in a new house with much more space, better sheltered areas for plants and hopefully less disease in the environment. Unless I win the lottery and buy myself a mansion I'm good to stay here for a long time. The landlord knows about and is cool with the fluorescent light grow setups in the garage, and is happy for me to transform the outside into a chilli jungle. All signs point to a good season ahead.

Winter has just begun, and I've got the germinating and growing on stations setup. Chilli seeds are in the post flying to my door.

This is the current seed list I have to choose from, including varieties ordered but yet to arrive.

Many of these are just one or two seeds leftover from old stock and I won't be planting everything. A lot of the ornamentals will be getting just one plant. I'm might still get some more 7pots and superhot varieties.

The garden beds need a little work, and retic needs to be sorted but I've got a few months to do that. I'll post pictures when I have them.

M8 doogies r heaps darker than mine, is that the secret moo poo blend

My next wave of pods will be insane so many flowers, as long as the wind don't stuff them

I'm amazed at the care u take deseeding ur pods I just cut and blow lol

The smell in my room was like the inside of a pod but as they dried it lessened. I've had random parts of my body burning for a few days but I'm sure that was because I had oil on my fingers from processing. The fumes weren't irritating.

I will do it again for sure! Such an amazing smell OMG! No words for it. Like I had died and gone to chile heaven.

The ones at the back are stretching for the sun. Might have to take down the shade cloth soon, when I'm sure there's no chance of another 40C heatwave.
Good to hear they are doing well. Any sign of mites? I feel really terrible that I offered my plants to everyone and right after spreading them all over Perth I discovered mites on my other ones ! Hope they go on to good podding times.

Thanks The dougie is nearly all brown, the peach hab was cut up and went in some TD poppers (go and vote for me everyone ) and the dorset naga was frozen. I saved the seeds from those big pods, hopefully they will germinate a race of monsters

Cheers . There is lots of grubbage but I just toss the pods now. Can't be bothered with surgery.

I've only got one douglah pod and its ripening on the bench. Those in the pic are Congo Browns.

Mine need some seasol or something cos they aren't flowering up much.

The deseeding is easy cos I use a little lemon zester tool. Just scrapes everything out quickly. I gave up towards the end though I deseed more carefully when I'm going to dry and save the seeds.

Mine are a bit small and stunted cos they are trying to grow in mite county. Had some mixed into some food and I didn't think they were that hot, but a nice flavour.


These are the green pods a few days ago,

and today

Top left corner is the Trinidad Scorpion Moruga Red that's not looking true. Next to it is a green Primo that was picked very green because the first two ripening pods were getting raped by bugs All three Primos were also not looking true. Next to that one is my first Douglah pod, almost completely brown Looking very Dougie indeed!

I'm definitely up for that, but my free time has recently had a big chunk bitten out of it. I'm free most of the time the kids are at school but that's about it! Weekends are spoken for for a while. I'll let you know when the holy grail of a kid-less weekend comes round.


Spent the last few hours learning how to encode and upload videos etc. Seems to be all the rage with those wacky chilli forum kids Think I have it worked out so here goes.

Thanks Sanarda I'm freezing some as they ripen and will make some sauce when I've got a lot. When i next get a big load of one type I will dehydrate and make powder

The plan is to next pull some of the bad plants, smash the bugs and feed everything some grow juice.

Agreed Moo, pull the shadecloth down its not needed now & all its doing its knocking off flowers & making it hard for the plant to grow.

What`s the white stuff on your leaves? not calcium from the tapwater is it?
