Melbourne Hailstorm

Anybody get hit with that Thunder/Hailstorm down Melbourne ways? I hope your plants are ok?, the storm just missed us in Geelong, but it was coming down hard as I was driving up the highway to take the wife to the Thai Temple, we had to stop for awhile, it was coming down so hard.
 
No hail here JR but I was getting worried for a while. Heavy rain for a bit and some thunder but I escaped the worst of it.
 
how big were the hail stones?
 
mate.. thats crazy!! not even a hint of rain up here in sydney!! tellin ya.. if those sorts of stones were dropping here i'd be out there bringing the pots in!! (and putting the car out in the hope of a write off and a new car :P)
 
Most of mine seem to have survived ok, as a friend said if any hail hit one of your chillies the heat would melt it ;)
 
good lord those hail stones are huge!!! Batter Up!!! lol....hope everyone's gardens and cars are ok!!!
 
Those are some huge stones, I'd hate to get hit by one. Hope the plants have all made it through. Heavy rain can be just as damaging.
 
The rain didn't do much damage here, didn't lose too many leaves. We do get days like this every now and then but I wouldn't say often. Woke to a white christmas (hail) a few years ago which almost destroyed my veg garden, basically everything was damaged. Lost more tomatoes than anything else and my zucchini leaves looked like swiss cheese.
