For those of you who are still here, I’m Matt, and you can call me that. That or homie, bro, chief, man, buddy, or Javier. This is season number 2 and last year was a disaster. Somewhere between scouring the web to find out why all my plants couldn’t break the 2 foot mark I ran across this forum, and bam, hooked. I started gathering seeds in June and got them in dirt (or coffee filters) today.

I am planting via 2 methods, coffee filter and direct sow. I want to eventually plant out 1 of each variety so I sowed 3 seeds. I soaked my seeds last night in water and planted 1 in a tray of Hoffman’s Seed Starter (thanks Ronnie),

and the other two I stuck in coffee filters and plastic bags. So EVERYONE is aware, this method is not a quick one. Consider yourself warned.

When I finished planting/bagging everything, I stuck it in my tent which maintains about 81-84 and we shall keep our fingers crossed.

Thanks Shane, this time I actually took 10 photos to meet the cap. Also, I will make sure my addy is available.

Had to chuckle at the hiccoughs, though, I remember
Jamie's yellow seven affecting me the same way - 12 in
a row right after I started eating it!

Thanks for stoppin in! I was really caught off guard, but it was definitely good. My Scorpanero #2s are just showing the slightest bit of color now, should get to try that bad boy in the next week or 2!

Hey Paul, its great to see ya! I know, those hiccups came out of nowhere! It was crazy, because my mouth was burning, and then when I was able to speak, i would hiccup, and then start the cycle all over! I am definitely enjoying spending time with the family, I am gonna take a few weeks off work coming up, go down south and see family and then head back up and play in the garden!

Well tonight's update is gonna kick ass! I was out in the garden and decided to harvest a few pods....got a lot of editing to do so I should have a video, and photos up in a few hours. See ya'll in a few!

Looking forward to seeing a harvest photo. You have some awesome looking superhots! Some of the most gnarly photographed.
Those videos are crazy dude.....You must have the gut of a "Navy Seal" to undergo the painstaking mission of putting down those super dupers.
Ha............hiccups, one will never know "when the'll start or stop" After awhile they can hurt as well. More power to ya for displaying your videos!

It is goin up in a minute. Editing the photos took forever. I will update the CCN plants in the next few days, thanks for the recommendation! Overall they are doing well though.

Thanks for the compliments Greg! I guess I have put the camera to good use! I don't know about a Navy SEAL stomach, it still hits me pretty hard from time to time. I was like, the hiccups are gone, now I can ta...nope....lol!

Well, it took me longer than I anticipated, but here is today's harvest shots. A lot of them are going into packages, so I left a little green on them to make sure they don't get too ripe on the way.

I have a great weightloss plan, it is called Afghanistan.... :lol: I always try to work out and eat right when I am in the states, but it never works (as you can see from lost night...) It is much easier when I am deployed. It is amazing how much I can change when I am gone, if only I can stay in shape when I am home..

And my stomach wasn't effected by this one at all. I ate a spoonful of PB, and that may have done it. Coming out, now that is a different story :hot:

Yea I am really excited about how those Infinities and Douglahs turned out. I am gonna have to wait a bit before biting into them, they all went into care packages. I should have some more ripe ones in another week or 2.

I just realized the work it is gonna take to harvest these! lol. I just went out to pick a few, and kept going, and going, and going....

Give it a try and let me know how it works for ya. Also, I am barely in shape. lol. We had a workout session on Friday, and it took everything in me to not throwup all over the field. I kept thinking, dont be a baby, dont be a baby...that is what I get for spending a week eating BBQ in Charleston, a week eating ethnic food and drinking in DC, and a week cooking stupidly amazing concoctions at home :crazy: This week has to be a bit "lower calorie"...
 
Now, THAT is a nice harvest, very nice indeed. Hope you have someone to keep an eye on it for you while your out and send you some little packages.

Wow, impressive harvest!!! Have you reviewed the Maui Purple or the Red Cheiro yet? I'd be interested in hearing a little about those two.

I hear you about the struggles on the low calorie eating. I started off the summer eating so healthy, than we had Father's Day, our anniversary, my daughter's birthday, 4th of July, one of my son's had a birthday, and then my birthday. It's hard to stay on track with all of those special occasions crammed into one month! Once that pineapple upside-cake is gone, I'm getting back on the wagon though, LOL!
 
Way to go Matt. That is some sweet poddage. Every pepper looks perfect. And that is only the beginning. Your wife is gonna get really good at harvesting and taking pics. Hope she has your THP sign on ;)

Stop by the house while your in Florida :party: have a brew or two :rofl:
