I made some white vinegar based sauce from 1,2kg worth of MoA pods and result was actually quite nice! Here are some pics:

So, currently it looks like i won't get any proper Grade A peppers this season. Are there any members with Grade A seeds willing to send me some, so i could try to get some proper pods next season? I'll pay for the expenses, of course. I'll report more during the rest of the growing season.

Stay tuned, Riku. I'll bet there will be plenty of people willing to share seeds when the season ends. (You should post more, though; some people are leery of sending seeds to members with very few posts.) Nice looking greenhouse and sauce.

Looks like the pods are starting to ripen together here.

I have 2 plants like this and a third that's just starting to set pods, but they're the more desirable shape.

Got to try the first ripe pod after a day off the vine. Had turned completely golden yellow by this morning.

Taste is excellent. Almost Fatalii like and a notable sweetness right at the front of the tongue. Surprised to say, its much more mild of a pepper, in the heat department than I would've guessed! Maybe because it looks so similar to a Yellow 7, I was bracing for the same heat level, but it never came and threw my brain for a loop. Hahahah. Very tasty!

Can't wait for mine to start getting ripe. 12 plants all in one patch makes it hard to get a good under the canopy shot of the pods hanging, but if you stick your face under the canopy it is pod heaven. Getting some nice tall plants too.

Can't OW all of them, and would like to OW one if it works out that way,

Great question. There is no difference. It is a regular scotch bonnet. The moniker "MoA" or Ministry of Agriculture, just indicates where it came from.

It happens to be a fine strain of regular scotch bonnet.

there are many variations already with the scotch bonnet MoA pod... the seeds i had distributed were obtained from STEVE who had me get them out ....im sure he did his best to isolate them...but it apprears that it might have crossed.... jamison grew his OG batch of MoA seeds i believe and had a plant in TN.. (the one and only plant)

i grew a few and have seen others grow them from the seeds i sent out...

and yes.. even a red one.. most of the pods were elongated..... but some are shooting out more bonnet shapes.. shame that this plant is diseeased.. maybe why they are off shapes...

yes.. there is a ELONGATED pods..this came from a plant that is shooting some pods that are long but have some short of bonnet shape to it

all in all they STILL HAVE the same great taste we expect from the pepper itself... it has brought joy to me and to others growing this pepper..

i am also growing the FtL bonnets you sent me STEVE... and have shared with others...

as JAMISON has mentioned... THANK YOU STEVE....
