I really hope this part of Jim Duffy's life story is true because I bought seeds based on this ad. Seeds I did not need.

Wow I can't believe I missed this one. Quite the 17 page stroll.

But... GOOD NEWS! I have 3 of these growing in my closet as we speak!! YES. This is gonna make my entire season! I could give a shit about the other 80 types of peppers I'm growing! This ones the KING! It'll be freaking sweet come harvest time, watchin all the noobs and new THP members pay me 5 bucks per seed.. I'm gonna retire by the time I'm 26!

Kidding.

There's just gonna be another new "worlds hottest pepper" next year anyway, if not later this year.. There's a new one every year. Just the way it is, has been, and will be for some time. And really.. By now I'm pretty use to the not-so legitimate not-so stable background stories that come along with the new record holders each year.. I personally don't give a rats ass. I just wanna grow me some peppers and let my taste buds do the talkin.

Jim Duffy is a gentleman in my opinion. I have had dealings with him. I was quite rude to him over some seeds I bought. He was ameliorating, precise and nice about it. In fact, he sent me the whole order free.I realize that records are important, but for f---k's sake can we just enjoy the beauty of the chilli's size, variety, colour, shape and taste too.I love the Doughlah, SB, Yellow 7, Bere Bere, Shitto, and so on. Let' love them and protect them, like we love our children and AISPES do. Let's be sensible about the heated debate and stop mass-debating. I'm telling you now , mine are are the hottest in the World and I've got the cheek scars to prove it.

Same here! Thanks PepperLover! I'm totally out of my league growing these. But it was worth it when the wife spied the article about 'World's New Hottest Pepper' in the newspaper--came out Sunday in Boise. I showed her my little TSMB gift pack...she was impressed, as if to imply I'm on top of this game. Hey, I'll take it! I need all the style points I can get with her to keep the pepper grow going strong. LOL.... :cool:
