Damn..... Do I have any pictures where I'm not drunk off my butt??? Wait....with all of those pics above, maybe that wasn't the right anaolgy.....

Hey Dick, this shot was taken on the east coast of oz. It is a place called Diamond Head, there is a great camping spot there too. The family spent 1 week there not so long ago, it's a beautiful spot and the kids just love it.
There are kangaroos and Goannas just wandering freely, you have to keep your tent closed for this reason too.

Heres a ppic of my youngest with some Roo's in the background

Looks a beautiful place and i bet the Kids had a ball,Camping is just great fun for a family

They certainly did have a ball Talas, that's the only reason we go camping really, for the kids.
It's nice for them to get away from the computer games and telly for a while, it makes them think different i think, not getting bombarded by advertisements and such and being able to spend a lot more time with us parents, we should do it more often :)

Some of the roo's don't mind being petted (what a strange word).
The older females are the most inclined though. A problem is that people feed them bread, this can act like a drug (ie, they love it) and they can can become aggresive if you get in their way of it, we keep the kids at a reasonable distance. these are animals used to human contact though, try it with a wild one and you would certainly be boxed. They are extremely strong and protect their young to the very end.
I have heard stories of people shooting Joeys and their mother attacking their car with thoughtless abandon, thats the females.
The big red kangaroo can grow to in excess of 6 feet high and are a force to be reckoned with.
