My first grow log

My Growing list for this year

Aja Lemon
Trinidad scorpion
Pusa jwala
Douglah
Scotch bonnet (from a friend)
Super chilli (from last years plant)
Jalepeno

I have been growing super chillies for the last few years with great success and love them. I have decided to expand my selection this year with some interesting varieties.

I Invested in a heated propagator that kept the temp at a constant 30c.

I followed advice from the guys at the Hippyseedcompany (who provided the TS,douglah, aja lemon and pusa jwala seeds) and used jiffy pellets.

After 3 weeks I have had some success.

I have potted on some of the stronger ones and they seem ok, I am keeping them indoors in the south facing bay window. Temp is set on my house central heating to 16c but it gets up around 22/23 when the sun is out. Not that often in England at the moment!!!!!
I have a green house ready to take them later in the year.

I am buzzing about my chillis this year and cant stop talking about them. Due to nature of my job I am now in Germany for 3 weeks so I wanted to set up a webcam so I could watch them but my wife said that was going to far. She thinks a pay more attention to them than her!! Crazy i know!!!!

The weather here in the UK has been great fir the last 2 weeks plenty of sunshine and warm too. The greenhouse is housing my plants now during the day but I am bringing in the Butch T and Douglahs at night. As temp is still around 10c 50f

Re homed some of my excess plants as a friend of mine has erected a 40ft poly tunnel on his farm! Gave him 20 super chillis, Jalepeno's and scotch bonnets.

Gonna make some compost tea this weekend and give them all a good drink.

All plants in the greenhouse now as any chance of frost is long gone. The weather over the last 2 weeks has been amazing and with temps in the mid 20's (70f). With the vents and door open on the greenhouse I have managed to keep the temp inside around 30c (90f) The plants have been loving it and have been growing slowly but steadily. Very pleased with my progress so far as its only April after all!!

My Butch T scorpions I think are looking strong

June 2011
I am so stoked with my plants this year, seems along time ago when I planted my seeds back in Feburary. The seeds I got from THSC have grown so well.
My Orange hab and scotch bonnets are just covered in flowers and small pods. The douglahs are the same and my Butch Ts are so strong with loads of flowers too.
only bummer is my jalapeno turned out to be a Hungarian hotwax!! but they have been producing some pods and they are not too bad.

Been such a blast so far this season. Looking forward to loads of pods!!

Thanks and good luck to you all

Those Pusa Jwala don't look like Pusa Jwala. They should be a little thinner and more wrinkly? I'm sure whatever they are they are still good though.

I was thinking that too about the Pusa jwalas. My other 2 plants have pods that are thinner and more ridged. Got my seeds from THSC so they should all be the same. Not sure what's happened there!!! But you are right they look good. cheers

August Update

Weather here in th UK has been pretty poor over the last month. Low temps and hardly any sunshine have been a rain pain in the arse.
Anyway heres some pic from sunny portland.!!

Butch T. I ahve had lots of different shaped pods from my 2 plants. Some showing the more classic pointed shape and some that are not. Had some folk think they arent and some who think they are! Got the seeds fom THSC so I am hopefull.
