The AK is a beautiful piece!
I actually think our weaponry has some old AK-47s in stock... or at least they had at one point.

Those old AK's were truly hard to beat as far as reliability and mass-affordability. Not really accurate....but a damn formidable weapon to be sure.

And only $479 US. And you can put 500 rounds through it at the range for a little more than $10.:)
What's it for? hunting?
I thought it wasn't fun using semi's.

No, guns are for shooting.....it's the people that do the killing.
Guns are weapons. weapons are meant to hurt.
You can think of it as a sport, but guns are for killing.

I guess..... They are made for that but it's the person that ultimatly makes the choice. What kind of pistol do you carry Omri?

Obviously.
Although at some point in the not so far away future, the guns will make that choice! ;):lol:

beer - thats a sweet rifle, how do they compare to steyr's ? thats another rifle I'd like but leary of it cuz made for rightys & exchanging the mag (hows that ?)

as for being a ambi rifle, I wouldnt really call'em that cuz they're designed more for right hand use cuz of the charging handle.
I dont know about the switch to lefty but "heard" you can just switch the ejection port plug ? but this really depends on how the bolt & ejection port is designed otherwise yes need a different bolt.

as for hunting big game with a .223/5.56 I wouldnt cuz theres too much room for error & just wounding them.

omri - it depends on certain states & their laws to hunt with semi-auto military type rifles, also other laws as for caliber & certain features on the gun or mag limit. but in general most states allow the use of hunting with them in some form.

like chililover said, do some archery hunting & test your skills & enjoy the real thrill of hunting!!

chililover & beer - yes military type semi-autos are becoming more popular for hunting. the features, options, recoil reduction.

beer - you know with the anti-gun folks it makes me wonder when they'll push for outlawing the bullpup rifles cuz it kinda bypasses their total rifle length (barrel length) yes barrel length is legal but back then bullpups were not around or common & they were going about it with standard rifle types (barrel in front)
since basically their whole deal was about concealment of the rifle, just like collapsible stocks.

To swith to lefty, just buy/order with a lefty bolt, intall and then switch the ejection port. Done.

Hunting with a .223 is absolutely OK, and is becoming more popular than you might think. Use a 68grain and up bullet and don't think twice ;) Todays modern bullets are helping the cause as well.

This gun is smaller than a 10.5" barreled AR. Way smaller!!! Just get a $200 stamp if you want to get a smaller gun:rolleyes: Nothing to it.

I know whats needed to switch certain guns from right to left ejection - if the gun allows it or make parts for them.
I never shot a steyr type gun nor ever opened one up, so I dont know what its like! like I said I "heard" cuz I asked a sales person at a store that was selling one, & he said just switch the plug & I'm like ok whatever, I'm not buying one but if I do I'd look further into the price to make it a lefty.
but still not truely a ambi rifle IMO!

to each their own about using it on big game but I'll never use it for big game.

I know you can pay to get short barrel guns, I was just talking about how some anti-gun people might even hate those type of guns even more cuz they're much shorter & wonder if some stupid politician might try to label them as short barrel guns, or make some stupid law about total length.

& not every state allows to buy short barrel guns, full-auto, or suppressors ;) just depends on the state on which they allow.
