Here and in the Netherlands it is known as 'Spaanse peper' (Spanish pepper), but I believe in the rest of the world it is known as 'Dutch pepper'

This post from Sulsa provides some more information on them

Spaanse peper

Another week-end, so another update. No pics of the plants today, as it would be just a repeat of last week.

I noticed this little one hidden under a bunch of unripe ones. Very little, but the first ripe one:

And a very strange madame Jeanette pod growing:

And the first open flower on my Thai's :

Your Madame Jeanette has grown arms - I love it when a pepper goes off piste :D

It has been a bad week this week. Last time we had a heatwave with temperatures above 30°C, I had a 2 week break from work, so I had time to move them around in the shade. This week I was working again, result : lot of flowers, buds and leaves dropping.
On the other hand, things are going in the right direction :

The high temps are hard on the plants, but
The gnarl on the pods amps up. The wickedest
pods my scorpions ever threw happened last
Summer during the record-breaking temps.

wow look at them peppers, nice one Francis
How's the mutant Madame Jeanette doing? Still waving its little arms around?
