Offical Orange Primo x BOC (f1) thread

To be fair the primo was eventually stabilized right? not sure about the BOC.

 
Yes, both are stable - but am not sure about the orange Primo variant. I was just trying to show all the different peppers that made up the combination. I think BOC was released around F5, but I've been growing it for 2 years and it shows no variation. BOC is actually a manageable pepper - cooler than a standard bhut.

Primo = Red 7 Pot x Naga Morich

Bhut Orange Copenhagen = Bhut Jolokia x Naga Morich (I think - seems most likely).

Fantastic looking berries. Looks like a winner!

Have you tasted one?
It's very fruity, nowhere like bhut/naga flavor. Also i find it less hot than NM.

Been gone for a week, came home and found this.  Sorry for the crappy photos, not a skill I have, and using phone no help.
 

 
So, maybe they might ripen to red.  Had 2 orange ones and a red one when I got home tonight.  
 
Looks like some of the newer pods are going to have a more interesting shape.

I just got back from vacation and feel like crap.  I think if I tried it tonight, nothing good would come of that, try to give you a report tomorrow.

Well, these first two were definitely not superhots.  They kinda like caribbean red or something similar to me.  Not bad but probably not what we would expect.  But also these pods were not nasty looking at all, just hab shaped so maybe yours or the later ones on my plant might be hotter.
