Just trying to get some feedback on what everyone thinks about hiring and allowing office eye candy (a hot girl) to work in the office although they are obvious incompetent and don't really contribute much to the office outside of a nice view..

Basically we needed a receptionist and the girl that got hired didn't have any experience, customer service skills, but obviously got a nice new rack for her 21rst B-day!! At first it was all good, but a few years later they are promoting her to an assistant and she cam barely answer the phones and is horrible at the job. As a manager I can say she isn't very bright, can't make decisions on her own, and outside of being able to answer questions about face book or twitter not too good on a computer either. I can totally understand having her sit at the front desk to create clients and or customers (everyone appreciates the nice view and our UPS guy comes by daily to pickup), but why move her into the office where she will actually be required to work??? I'm totally against it as I can honestly say I would rather not have anyone and just put the extra load on the other staff that know how to work, but the owner is insistent about giving her a "chance". I can see her missing deadlines, F"N up jobs and actually causing more work for everyone??? However she will be sitting outside of the big dog's office!

Call me a hater if you will, but in today's economy I just think we need to focus more on hiring people that can do a good job and not just for show.

If she got promoted maybe she is better at her job than you think? Maybe you missed it becuase you where too busy looking at her...

ohh possible, but I think it may have been the way she was looking at certain others ;) and nothing to do with the way I was looking at her...

In leui of pics feel free to post anatomically correct drawings! The kind you see from court reporters will be just fine

It's hard to appreciate a nice set of (owl noise makers) when you're busy fixing her mistakes.

I love eyecandy.. I looove eyecandy, but she needs to least have a basic grasp of reality. Otherwise she amounts to nothing more than a work-creating screensaver.

I can't get my head around your problem, could you provide pictures, I prefer Friday pictures unless she likes to dress up on Mondays after a weekend of shopping for new clothes.

I feel the same way about male eye candy as female. Go be a celebrity where you're looks are required credentials, get the F out of the office. Unless you have the essential job skills.

Not an exact picture, but pretty close...

I think the poll says it all.... I can say for sure she will make more work for everyone. Here is an example: she got an e-mail from a friend that said funny joke or some other BS and for whatever reason saved the attachment, opened it up and clicked on it. Nothing happened, but oddly her computer started getting a bunch of pop ups and a bunch of new icons appeared on the desktop and then her computer locked up. So what does she do? She waits for another employee to go out to lunch and then tries to open the SAME file on that employees computer. Guess what the same problem. Not satisfied she then logs into 2 other computers at empty desks and tries to open the joke on those computers as well...... Before the end of the day the network had several copies of the virus and all 4 computers she was trying to view the "joke" on where corrupt and infected with the virus. Her explanation is I thought it was a funny joke and didn't want to miss out on it.... I was pushing for at minimum a suspension for a couple of days without pay, but it was quickly brushed under the table and NOTHING was put in her file! She is almost 30 and seems to have the competency level of a 16 year old.
