P-Son's "mild to wild" Manscaping prohibited!!

After a couple nudging pm's it is time to get things rolling...well, get a list situated atleast. I won't be starting my seeds until March 1 this season. This list is subject to change, and I'm betting it will before I'm done typing. My two goals this season are 1.) Take less pics and better quality 2.)Sow later and achieve similar yields. My germination techniques and set up are not inspirational or extravagant so the bulk of my updates will be after early june plant out. Fert apllication and medium are changing a tiny bit but staying simple with it.

c lanceolatum.... Holy Grail stuff!!! After 47 days I sowed my last couple seeds in a last ditch effort. 9 or 10 days later and this guy hooks. I'm over the moon...that is until I see the seed hull hanging on. Really?? So what do you do when only 1 sprouts out of your 7 seeds and it has a helmet head? Surgery ensued! I weaseled the pinhead sized casing off and everything looked nice and green but in a few hours it started looking rough. Fingers crossed for now. Excuse the cell phone picture here.

Yeah...I started many more wilds than I ended up with. My germ setup was off at the beginning and they're hard to pop anyway. Ended up with a couple varieties though. I really love the wilds and may be hitting you up latter in the year for some of the "Hard or impossible" varieties that you mentioned if you have some success. If I can stay clean this year I plan to overwinter a few and start some wilds really early, maybe october, to ensure I have plenty of time to get it right and them up and running. Really bummed about my cumari and bird ajis not popping, but I have Tepins, Jamie's mystery (which I am certain is a wild), PI438648 (I believe to be misidentified because its supposed to be a Chinense and mine are annuum) and the ones I am most excited about are the Charapita Yellow. I really like your grow man...no manscaping necessary!

Wow, such interesting varieties. Lots that I've never heard of. It will be great watching this stuff grow out and see what they all look like.

That cobincho looks neat - will that purple shading stay with it, or is that just in the beginning?

also, the cumari verdadeira pic is a nice one - showing the fuzz in a clear shot with all those other plants in the background. Nice effect. I like the color of that photo as well.

I was kinda looking forward to taking some pics when I got over this cracked-back. Now, I've gotta find someone to give me some serious lessons before I put any photos on here! And, I'm afraid I'll give this poor little Coolpix S210 a hernia or something if I even attempted to squeeze that kind of performance out of it.

That mesclun don't look nuthin like the stuff we had back in the early '70s! Is it legal now?

Your stuff is incredible Lil Bro. You guys should be able to earn a living with y'alls ability to grow plants like that and, with y'alls photography skills. Seriously!

Wow great pics and variety, stuff I never knew existed!

I have to ask what kind of camera gear are you using? Please don't tell me it's phone!

Scott

I'd like to 2nd or probably 5th or 6th the photo envy and will have to be very selective on the photos I load to my page. Good luck on your grow look forward to seeing your progress.

It is legal for me, I'm a Native American :liar:

Hope you got those seeds. I appologize for the delay, things have been a blur here lately!

Hey Scott, I am using a coolpix like Ray mentioned above. It is nothing fancy at all but gives me the opportunity to shoot manually and have more control. Growing peppers is way easier!!

Thanks cape, envy is good when it inspires! It's easy to get a clear photo, getting the proper exposure under 3 different light sources can be tricky! I want to match the color of my plants to the photo as accurately as possible, and I haven't always been successful doing that but it is a work in progress.

Finally getting around to potting up,I normally wouldn't make this drastic of a jump in container size but life is forcing me to cut some corners. Some of these guys aren't 100% ready but close enough.

@Jamie.... I am using both of the ones you sent, curious to see how it works. Just waiting for that initial "BOOM" that you get after transplanting. I have 3 different soils going right now,two that I made and the other is Roots Organics. The Roots would be better for outdoors but we'll see what happens in a week or so. I screened out some mothball sized perlite and other stuff that would be better suited for a slingshot!!

@ Noah... Here is one just for you. Tovarii.

Yes Brother, I got those seeds! While sending you a PM to thank you for the seeds, I wanted to offer you some veggie seeds. My batteries on my "wireless" keyboard began to go bad while I was typing. By the time I finished typing (had to hit each key many times) the veggie seed offer, I forgot to thank you for that very generous seed-gift. I'm sorry dude.

Perfect as always John! Gave me a nice mid-week porn fix! This early season seems to be dragging a bit...can't wait for everyone's stuff to be in full swing. Hopefully your crazy schedule will subside so we can get more awesome pic updates in here!

Looking fantastic there brother prod!! The pictures remind me of Gregs (pic1) grow ... almost perfect specimens and great photos to boot.... even similar gloves ;) ... nice work!!

The plants are starting to jump now. Smart move with the larger pots, by the time you plant out the roots will be strong(er).

They will definitely get me to plant out, that may be July with this weather! I will be giving them the HID soon to play catch up and hopefully I can get them outside and in stride!

Boooooooooo. Ima need some of those after harvest. Oh and some galaps :)

I have the bubble mailer sitting here. Just waiting for it to quit snowing.

Nice work Pson, some amazing peppers in here. I have definitely added some varieties to my future grow lists looking at your pictures.
Let me know at the end of the season and I can help you with seed.

Beautifull plants and pictures, John! I really love how the Fish looks. Although it's a lot of work to pot up, it will pay off in the end :)

Potting up is a must for healthy plants! The fish is getting some inner branching and it's cream color. Great looking chile!
