Great pics once again Paul! Haha, you strive to make yours like my "Pool Garden" and I strive to keep the plants as GREEN as the pool!

Damn...an unintentional topper to boot!!!

Hi Paul … I’m speechless your back yard, plants and everything including pots are breathtaking what a beautiful place you have. When you have a little time why not come down to Florida and help spruce my place up too, hahaha …

I’m sad to read about the Scotch Bonnet issues, but I’m sure you’ll try again and there’s plenty of mas MoA seeds so hopefully next season you’ll work your magic on dem. Thanks for sharing all da pepper love brethren and if Steve doesn’t have you covered, you know I will ^_^

Have a great week!

Edit: Great photos!!!!

I know, bud.  When I made my last post I saw it was 420, and I thought,
I'll bet Shane winds up on the page top!  I feel very clairvoyant.

Thanks for the visit, brother.

Thanks, Ramon, I look forward to giving them another try!  My
yellow SB doesn't seem to like full sun very much - is that normal,
or just this particular plant?  As you can see, I have a learning curve
ahead of me on these guys.

I think the new round of SB's will fare better than the first.  I know one
thing, I need to upgrade my light set-up in my grow shelf.  The T-12's just
aren't strong enough to keep the plants under them for an extra month or
six weeks while I'm waiting for Spring to really get here.

I took the last round of photos with the Nikon D300S my dad had when he died.
These were taken with a wide angle (12-24mm) lens.  It is just awesome -
can't wait to try it on some pod shots this summer.  Peace out, bro.

I’m not sure if that’s normal or not but my 3 plants sufferer severely with only 6 hours of sun per day. The leaves wilt and look fully stressed the last 2 hours and stay that way till the shade hits them. I’ve never seen anything like it other than an under watered plants and trust me they are not lacking water. I have thought about moving them to cut that back sun time but finding a new spot that is not diffused light is impossible for me. My best guess is that the sun is now hitting them directly overhead VS in the winter it was from a southern angle, less intense. Brother I’m learning along the way myself, I would have thought that MoAs could take full days of sun and apparently I’m wrong.

I’ve never grown anything under lights, it amazes me how you guys do it, great job mon!

They are fantastic and saying awesome is putting it mildly, you did a great job … condolences for dad, lost mine a few years back and now recently mom, I know it’s depressing … wish I could have gotten my dads camera but it was stolen by a health care provider :/    Have a great hump day brethren …

Ramon, wasn't it you that got some traditional SBs from an older Jamaican market lady?  Did you grow those?  How do they compare to the MoAs?

Edit:  Oops, sorry Paul, thought I was in Ramon's glog.  Need more coffee.

Sawyer that was Steve, he got them here at the Fort Lauderdale Farmers Market and they had a perfect shape. AFAIK he's already germed a few and has them growing. Apologies Paul for replying here ...

Still in awe at your beautiful grow ^_^

I'm kind of amazed by that myself, Ramon.  Maybe they are like
pubescens - just prefer cool and shady to hot and sunny.  My
Yellow SB is in full sun - I may move it.  I have some spaces
that get less sun.  The new ones will def go into a shadier local!

No problem, Sawyer!  Since I don't spend much time here, you guys might as well
Coffee will help a lot!

Steve is quite the SB guy!  I'm sorry I didn't do his MoA seeds justice.

Thanks for the feedback, Ramon!

Ramon, got it.  I asked the same q over in your glog.  Will have to get an update on this from Steve.
I'd like to hear more about that myself!

Paul, your garden/back yard always looks immaculate, my friend.  Everything looks incredible.  Your plants, from seedlings to fully grown overwinters are looking great.  Things look like they are coming into full swing!

EDIT:  I forgot to ask, do you recall what your Pointed Yellow Hab was growing near last year?  I'm growing one from the pod you sent me and it ripens red.  :D  Wondering if it might be a cross or just spontaneous.  It has the same pod shape and has a great flavor.

Lotta nice plants ready to explode come July.

Blueberries are ripening here too, but the birds get most of em.
Thanks, SS - hoping that's the case!

So far so good, we get to eat most of 'em.

Looking real nice there.  My TFM didn't like the plant out either, but its coming around.
Hey thanks, Bo.  Glad to see yours is turning around.  Mine looks a little
better.  Lots of good growth, but still light green color:

Thanks for the kind words, my friend!  Things are finally starting to come around for the
pepper plants.  We are in a stretch of 90 degree days right now, so a few don't really
like that heat, but in a few days we should be back down to the 70's and 80's.  I'm not
complaining!  We had 4 days of rainy cloudy up to Friday.

The round three Scotch Bonnets are looking much better than the first round of SB's
I planted.  Healthy and happy so far as I can tell.  First seedling in each row, Trinidad Red,
second seedling in each row, Yellow, third seedling in top row, Chocolate:

My two OW ornamentals are setting some pods. Black Pearl:

NuMex Twilight - there are a few little purple ones:

Choco Hab from second round of seedlings.  Six inch (15 cm) pot:

Honduran Market Mountain Pepper, finally starting to grow:

Choco Hab and Mountain Pepper getting a little sun:

The Manzano continues to flower and drop little pods.
Seems to be doing okay in this shadier location:

  :woohoo:    I discovered this yesterday.
Must have set during the last cool spell:

Here's one for the books!  Found this volunteer seedling in
one of my raised beds today.  It is right where my Tepin 15
plants were (seed from Shane last season).  I feel like a
SoFlo Boy!

Hope everyone is having a good weekend.
Thanks for looking in.

I was more than a little surprised to see it show up.  Even looks pretty healthy!

I'll have to go back to last year's glog to see for sure.  There were
a variety - some guesses off the top of my head.  Hungarian Yellow Wax,
Fatali/Savina, Chocolate Hab?  I'll have to get back to ya on that one.  My
PYH is ripening yellow, but there are some strange looking pods on It!

I say we meet in the middle weather wise..I'm will to share if you are!
Thanks, buddy.  The sunny weather has helped them a lot.
I'd be happy to share the weather!

I think you are being to hard on yourself regarding the TFM ... I think it looks like it is coming away nicely now ... Everything looks set to take off.
You are right, it is looking much improved.  A few more days of sun,
and maybe it will become all the way green.  Other than the color, it
looks very healthy.
The Bonda Ma Jacques, Yellow 7,and Bahamian Goat are all growing
fast and looking robust.  I will post a pic soon.

My Rocotos thrive in mostly shade, with max 2-3 hours direct sun.

Wow, how many days would that make the germination of the volunteer Tepin chile? Nice bonus! The rest are looking really decent Paul. I hope you get some warmer days to really push your plants to stretch and flower.
