I've been waiting for you to show up at the top of a page!
Your start up is looking great, Shane!

Some of the seeds really germinated quickly, for sure.
Will feel better when the SBs and the others pop at least one;
I'm not greedy ;)

Gotta love spreading dat pepper love mon :D
I hope some folk in this area will take me up on the offer if and
when it materializes! Didn't have much luck last season, except
for HH81.

All right, good luck, Pia!
Can't wait to see what you come up with!

Howdy, Lourens, and thanks! I have to admit to a certain
joy at seeing the hooks show up in the morning!

Still waiting on Scotch Bonnets, Yellow 7, and some others.
So far 15/26 varieties have sprouted. Let's see what tomorrow
morning brings.
They will come... I seem to remember my Scotch Bonnets taking their sweet time!

I think you may be right. Steve said that his MoA Bonnets took two weeks to pop.

Looking good Paul, the clone master is back at it!! ;) Germ rates are excellent! I was crazy enough to start two more flats, just noticed sprouts this morning after 6 days in the dirt. Growing from seed is sooooo rewarding! Keep up the great work friend, have a great weekend!

All right Paul, it's the weekend and it time for us to see som pics. Green house and those hooks plus ya know we gotts see some of that great chow you serve up.

Dont make us beg!

:) Have a great weekend Brotha

Sweet germ rates. Good lord your a pepper growing genius
You are too generous, Pia! Maybe the statement should read
"The good Lord is a pepper growing genius"!

Have a productive weekend, friend!

Way to go Paul!!
Thanks, Tristen. All four of your varieties I planted have popped now!
Thanks, buddy, for the great seeds.

Glad to hear that your seeds are sprouting for you, Missy!
Two more flats? My word, you've got it BAD!

I love growing from seed, too. Although I have to admit it
was cool when Spankycolts gave me some plants last Spring!

As for the 'Clone Master' title, I think Denniz is gunning for
the crown! Have a great weekend in the garden, Melissa!

Hey, Bill (and Pia!) I know, I know. A glog with no pics is boring at best or
maybe a lie at worst. I'll try to grab a couple of pics this weekend;
it's just that I don't find shots of cotyledons all that interesting!
Although, one of my Orange Rocotos has three cotys. Maybe I'll
shoot that one. I'll try to get my dad's super wide angle lens out
and catch some in the greenhouse, too. Haven't felt much like
eating fancy lately, but have been using powders sent to me by
DocnRock and Wayright via Fernando.

Hope your weekend is enjoyable and productive, brother!

Good luck to you. Can't wait to see this one unfold.
Thanks, Bodeen! It will be a slow process. Hard to be patient
this time of year. I want Spring!

Good growin' out your way!

Today's germination results:
Scotch Bonnet TFM ................................ Trippa (2)
Yellow 7 .................................................. Trippa (1)

Repeaters:

Giant White Habanero Robin P H (4/6), Jamaican Red Habanero FM (5/6),
Red Savina PM (4/6). Total varieties so far, 20/26.

I think next season, only one seed per cell. It's a bummer when
both pop in one cell, and none in the others. If I had one seed
per cell, I could save every start w/o culling and 'cloning'.

Will try to do a photo shoot today or tomorrow. Thanks for looking
in, everyone. Have a great weekend!

Glad to see even more varieties have popped up and very happy that the seeds i sent obviously had a good transit across the globe and are enjoying their new home!!
Nice work Paul and best of luck with the final 6 varieties fingers crossed they pop up in a day or two so you can get on with the growing!!
What date are you gunning for plant out/greenhouse transition?? Or is your climate a more wait and see type one???

Hey, Tristen. For us plant out comes in late May or June.
I'll grow in the grow shelf until sometime in April, then move
out to the greenhouse for hardening off, and I can put the
plants out on sunny days. Of course, there is some leeway
depending on the weather. This season I didn't get to plant
out until late in June!

Your seeds are top notch, Tripp; I can't wait for these to grow
up. Still waiting on 2 types of SB and the wild chilipequin types
to sprout.

Glad to hear your germing is successful, Paul. It happens that way, doesn't it? Sow two or three and none pop. Sow four to six, and they all pop! Same with your two in a cell experience. That Murphy was a pretty smart guy...

Man, you have to wait until late May or June to plant out? Wow! It must be cold up there for quite some time. Impressive you were able to get the grow you got this past year with such a short outdoor season. I see the greenhouse is a real savior, for you, as well.

Good luck, my friend!

Hi Paul
Glad to see you're riding the wave of sprouting chiles... I spent a couple of days dialing in my seed heat mat, but I'm starting to get radicles now. In fact, the first out of the gate were your Aji Omnicolors. I planted them in Solo cups this morning. Hopefully the rest will fall into line soon. Cheers

I found this interesting. I usually keep both seedlings if two come out in the same cell, so this isn't really an issue for me. I found that the trick is to move them into pots sooner than you normally would, definitely before they have any true leave. I have separated and transplanted only a couple of days after they pop, and I haven't lost one year. Of course I am cursing myself now.
