Pods look great Paul. I'm glad to see your rhombodium is setting mine has side shoots up the Ying yang... took mine out of the sun shade room and into direct light. Hoping for it to pod up. It's about 8 months old and over 3ft tall. .

Hey Paul ... Quick question ... I have 3 different lots of TFM seeds here ... 2014 harvest bonnet shape, 2014 harvest large pods and 2013 harvest large pods. Which seed stock (if any) did you use for this seasons plants of yours which appear to be producing both large and bonnet shaped pods?

Looking great! Really great! I think your volunteer mystery looks like a Chinese 5-color or Bolivian rainbow. Nice fat trunk on that Bonchi!  4 year old plant!

Your plants are an inspiration. Really beautiful and healthy. Volunteer really looks like Bolivian Rainbow.
Thanks for the visit and positivity, brothers!

I'm with you fellas, definitely looks like a Bolivian Rainbow.  If so, that has to be from
a seed that hung out in my recycled potting soil bin since the end of the 2012 season!

Whatever the case, it's a beauty, all right!

My Rhombo is a freak!  It would be 12 feet tall if I hadn't topped it three times.
Very little branching except at the tops of the three leaders.  Lots of little pods
set, including some multiples.  Very small, but I'll try to get some pics this week.
Mine seems to love the direct sun all day!

The seed I used this season came from the bonnet pod.  It was the pod that had
the most bonnet-like phenotype last season.   The other seed came from the
biggest pods, which were large in 2013.  I included the others just so you'd
have a complete catalogue of your strain.  Did I send you any F1, F2 cross seeds?

Hope your season turns out to be great, Tristen!

Wow Paul! Your glog leaves me speechless my friend!  Love those pics. I must say, you sure know how to grow them  :drooling:  :drooling:  I will have to make some time to take a look at all of your pages

Looking great this year Paul! Super variety and some very interesting peppers. Really like the look of that Cabe Gendot, started me thinking of what kind of sauce I could do from them. Especially like that they're a thick fleshed pepper. Have to agree with that mystery looking like a Bolivian Rainbow. Keep them growing brother!

Hey Paul, looking mighty fine buddy. On that Mistery Volunteer, looks to me very much like an Exploding (or) Burning Embers :) You plants just look so massive and happy... amazing!

Hey, Jon!  How's it doin', buddy?  Thanks for the kudos, brother!

Can't take all the credit - this has been an awesome season so far.

The NagaBrains are starting to color up a bit; some baby and some mature pods:

Thanks, Bill - I hope you have your 'new' grow space all dialed in, brother!

The Cabes would make a great sauce - very flavorful.

Hi, Lourens.  My EE in 2012 was barely a foot tall; this one is a little over a meter,
with bigger pods.  but the color changes are very similar.  Hope your season is getting along.

Here's a couple of hefty JA Red Habaneros from the double-trunked bush:
_DSC3151a_zps4gc62nqd.jpg

We've had three days of 105˚F or higher according to my back yard thermometer.

It's been very hot.

Yesterday showed 110˚

? Did I say it was  :hot:

Great stuff brother !!

Cheers Paul I figured as much and have planted the scotch bonnet shape seeds thank you!! I have my F1 and F2 seeds of my cross ..and the F3s that you sent me ... Big thanks to you !!

Nice to see you getting full-sized pods and color Paul! Firing up the dehydrator too... excellent! The Chiero Recife pods were great in powder when I grew them... I didn't bother seeding, just dried and ground them. Cheers!

Weather has taken a turn for the milder - highs in the 80's and 90's in the pepper patch the past week.
Peak heat duration each day is shorter since we left the 100˚ days behind!

And cheers to you   as well, Tristen!  Sounds like you are set.  Hope the results are great for you!

I think you hit the mark, Tristen.  Take a look at this F3
(photo two days ago)
There are a number of ivory colored pods on the plant now.
Looks like that will be the final color at this point.
I haven't picked one yet, but am very close.  Will give a taste test then:
_DSC3152a_zps1axwbo9t.jpg

Speaking of your Scotch Bonnet TFM, these two pods literally ripened up overnight.
Very close to picking as well.  There are several more pods similar to these.  Oddly enough,
the second round of pod setting is producing more of the hot-air-balloon shaped pods at this time:

Your Cili Goronong has produced some cool looking pods.  The big ones are just beginning to color up:

Rick, my friend!  That is my plan, as well.  I still have the dried pods from last season
waiting to grind up.  Glad to hear they make great powder!  Finally getting some color
on them as of two days ago.  It is a gorgeous plant this season; thanks again for the
seeds last season, brother!:

Thanks, John and Lourens!  Your both too kind!
The weather has been almost too good this Spring/Summer
But I'm not complaining ( :shh:  .....)

Here's one of the the JA Red Habanero plants from Ramon/Scott, 2nd generation.  Picked yesterday,
will get some pod porn up soon.  Until then this will have to suffice!:

Coloring is starting to proceed in earnest in the past few days.  A few samples follow.

Bonda Ma Jacques x Yellow 7, 2nd generation, from Windchicken.
They look like some insane, twisted chrysalis; can't wait to see inside!  Thanks Gary! :

NagaBrain, 2nd generation, another from Gary; awesome, my friend:

Ascent Thai, Territorial Seeds 2015:  Very productive, hot, and beautiful:
_DSC3163a_zpsnvzagfa7.jpg

Inca Lost, 2nd generation, Peppermania, 2012.  Last year's bush was twice as big,
with pods that separated from the calyx very easily.  Not so this year; have to snap
off the pod stem or cut.  Haven't tried one yet.  Last years were juicy, sweet and had
a good kick:

That's ten for now.  thanks for looking; will post more later.

Paul - it just gets better all the time my friend. Your plants always look super happy and just amazing! I get envy with you folks in the US and your massive pots. Pots are so damn expensive here, so I have to restrict myslef to growing in 10 litre bags, never mind 20 litre pots! Amazing looking garden my friend!

Hey, buddy.  Thanks for the kind words!

Nursery pots are expensive here as well.  I have collected mine over the years,
but my neighbor knows a nursery guy, so I swapped him some powders for some ten
(about 40 liters), 15 and 20 gallon pots.  I need to just swap a few remaining 7 gallon
pots for 10's and I'll be pretty well set up.  I also use utility tubs, they are inexpensive
compared to nursery pots and usually run about 18 gallons.  The bags are a great alternative,
but keeping them watered can be challenging.

The c. rhomboidium has a zillion little green pods on it:

The bees seem to love it:

The last shot of the plants in those massive pots - that's what it's all about. Great grow mate.
Thanks, Anthony!  Always good to hear from one of the South East Pacific brothers!

I do like growing in containers, but growing in the ground has its own rewards.
I guess the containers make controlling the soil, etc. easier.  I would like to
develop a nice in-ground garden, but at this stage of my life, the containers
work great for me, so I'll probably stick with them.
