Okay, back in the saddle again.  I checked out of this forum last September,
when my wife and I went on an 8-week vacation.  We had a blast, then I came
home to two months of yard work to catch up on, and holiday season to
contend with   :doh:   
 
I just this week finished grinding up all the dry pods from last season.  Managed
to get my seeds in to soak on Jan. 15th, and into the Jiffy Pellets on Jan. 16th.
I'm going for fewer varieties this season, but 3 or 4 plants of most varieties that
I grow out.  No small pod peppers this year, just too labor intensive for the results,
although I have some awesome small pod powders laid away.   Speaking of which,
I have so much powder I'm considering packaging and selling some this summer.  
I'm going to try to sell my fresh pods this Fall, so maybe no more powder production
until I need some, and then, just my favorites.

The first seeds began germinating on Jan. 22nd and continued until Feb. 5
 
1/29 - First watering of earliest germinating plants
 
2/2 - Begin light fertilizer routine on older seedlings:  Cal-Mag, 1 tsp / gal.
                                                                                          AK Fish Fertilizer, 1 tsp / gal. 
     - Start fan on taller seedlings

Hey , Scott! Hope your're in good health and that the
Temps are mellowing out for you a little.

I have been pleased that some of the plants resisted
the BLS and have become good producers after all.
Guess they are doing okay in spite of my efforts.

I ordered form ccn senegal's but they ended up being crossed with what I think was Jamaican Red habanero's .
So I am calling them Bonneros as Senegal was a bonnet type here a pic of some

Thanks, John. It's sort of a shooting from the hip kind
of pruning job, but the plant has a way of showing what
needs to be done!

It spent 4 years in a 5-gallon container being OW'd in the
greenhouse, then made it into a bonchi last Fall, so it's a
fifth-year plant. The big pod is almost all yellow. Will post
a pic soon.

Paul I have not measured them yet but most are pretty big an gnarly more long wise but some have been round & ribbed .
I have taken seed form one of the pods an plan on taking more to grow in next year grow
 
The Bonnero's Flavor was slightly sweet & fruity some floral & grassy/sourness
I didn't detect the floral second time around but everything else was there blended well
The heat was medium to hot for me anyway an it sorta backed off an a nice lingering burn more bonnet like than Habanero
I did eat one piece that had a bunch of oil that lighted me up good.

Health is good ;) I'm working my tail off to get back to 100%, I may already be there. But of course I want more..LOL. Great diet, lots of exercise around here for sure, even hitting the treadmill again. Thanks for asking. ;)
 
We're going to check and see if I can buy a year and retire a bit earlier; I'm so ready to be able to get up and do what I want to, and not care what day of the week it is...If not they get to suck my brain or 3 years more, 2 would be mo-better :shh:

Sounds like you are coming along great, Scott.  Good work.  Recovery is
always a long road.  Hope you can make some headway on your retirement
plan.  Do it as as early as you are able is my motto.  
 
Glad to hear that you are getting a little break from the heat and that there
are pods on the way!  Woot!

That Fatali is a plucky little plant, for sure   :cool:  just keeps on going'.
It will spend the winter in the greenhouse.
