Almost ripe pods on the Texas Tepin:

Some people harvest pods in 5-gallon buckets.
I use a measuring cup  :

Rain and clouds for a few days.
Forecast says about 2” over the
next 36 or so hours.

Red Mini Rocoto really putting on the color.
Cool, damp weather is causing some pods
to crack:

About twice as many pods on the
red as the yellow plant.

Ornamentals are extending branches which
is opening up the interiors to more light:

Brought some plants under the canopy
for the next couple of days of rain:

Also put some slow ripening wilds in the
greenhouse. They can stay in there for the duration:

c. eximium, BB Habanero, Amarillo Chiltepin, 2nd year Chiltepin.

Glad to see your harvest Paul...my putapario is now starting to ripen.
The ornamentals are lovely ..is that Black Pearl top right?

Oddly enough, the Black Pearl is lower right. Had
green foliage until super hot weather darkened it
up a little. Top right Is Chili Costa Rica from THSC,
a c. frutescens. On the Left is Black Prince.

Well, it looks like your 2020 cash-in is starting Paul. The Red Mini Rocoto is LOADED! Congrats.

Wow!  Look at that blue sky.  I thought you all were getting a lot of smoke.
Hope you get lots of pods before the cold weather sets in.
Smoke finally cleared out. Now for a day or two of
showers then some sunnier weather with occasional
showers, as per usual here.

It’s always a crap shoot this time of year here.
We usually get at least a partial harvest, but
it is unusual for all the plants to ripen up all of
their pods. I started trimming a lot of foliage,
growth tips, and non-bearing branches a month
or more ago, so they have a shot at hitting the
100% mark.

Thanks, friend!

Hoping that the case, DR. Lots of pods getting close,
but this time of year it is always hard to get some of
them to the completely ripe stage before cold damp
takes ‘em down.
