Disregard my previous post @PaulG. I thought I saw you used duct tape for labels and didn't think my post through well enough.

@texas blues posts are fun to read and tried to mimic that... didn't work 😜
That’s funny, FG! It’s not unusual for
jokes to go over my head anyway

Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Don’t
give up:lol:

The detached calyx teeth are great! - as I think you mentioned in the other threat. A really cool trait. Seems so many of your OW's are off to a really early start this year. Hopefully you'll get some production before the 110F hits the PNW again this June  Wouldn't the be nice. Maybe the chinenses would flower and set pods before then, as well!
Hey, @CaneDog, how's it going, my friend?

I hope I haven't let them get too far along this
early, but I can raise lights another foot so I may
be okay until I can put some out in the greenhouse.
As fast as time flows in retirement, that day will come
sooner than I will be ready for it!

The 3-gallon OWs were cut back hard, but most
of the small-pot plants just got a good trim, so
just sort of kept on growing. One exception are the
galapagoenses that had some aphids on them,
so I just cut them down pretty hard. Also shaped the
Rocopicas a bit by removing smaller branches.
@FGpepperguy, it may have worked; seems I remember ranch dressing being referenced in that manner.
😂 Great memory, CD!

Some new, runty hooks in the previously germinated cubes.

JA Red Habanero 2019
JA Red Habanero 2017
Red Savina.

Reallyhopeful for the last one, since
I killed the last one I grew with
2-4-D. Don't ask!

Thanks, @Pepper Merchant. Still holding it together :D

Some more stragglers have
almost emerged.

Red Savina 4/4, including the
one I just sort of pressed into
the rockwool.

Another 'OG' from some
A+ pods. Took forever for
it to emerge after radicle
extended.

Checking out the 'back-up' starts. All looking pretty good.
Funny how they seem to outgrow their transplanted siblings
until the transplants' roots fill their cups. Wish I had room to
grow them all out.

Notice the new CAP 524 under it's big brother?
edit 1/7: And the hook under the CAP 500?!

Just a few holdouts left. I have to decided to put a
few of the stubborn seeds into the AeroGarden.
2 - c. flexuosum
2 - Red Tepin
3 - c. lanceolatum

edit: Seeds put into AeroGarden 1/5/22.

Of course as soon as I do this, the seeds in the dirt
will decide to emerge en masse!

These finally opened up their cotyledons. Seems like the
latest seeds to germinate produce seedlings that struggle
a little. They have also produced all the helmet heads this
season.

@Downriver’s Purple Thun-
der Mystery F4(?) took a
long time to progress from
radicle to cotys.

...Downriver’s Purple Thunder Mystery F4(?)

Ya know, that's a good question lol. I looked at my notes and they say "Purple Thunder BJH Mystery - 2020 Paul G". I grew it in 20 & 21, so it's whatever filial generation you sent me, plus 2, lol. :seeya:

The little hook under the CAP 500 in the image
above (post #110) opened up its cotyledons today.
So count 3/4 for both the CAP 500 and CAP 524.

I guess I can count these, now. These hooks make
hesitant look like rapid-fire decision-making 🤔
Both 24 days in the cubes. There is a radicle
visible way down in the center hole, probably
weeks away from emerging 😖

Fatali seeds third iteration of seed originally from
@CaneDog via seed train. The Bhut Or. Copenhagen
seed from Din Bjarnes via @MarcV.
