Company Of Heroes is working out just fine so far. it's pretty easy to learn the basics of play and the graphics and sound are great.

I still like Age Of Empires 1 and 2, my two boys and I play over our home network.
Another good one is Empire Earth, I haven't tried EE2 or EE3 yet.
