Pepper Newb from Jersey

Hello, hot peppers! I'm new to the site as well as new to growing peppers, but I think I may already be hooked. This year I started out with some jalapenos, cayenne, and Hungarian wax peppers because that's what was at the hardware store. Next year I plan on growing habs and scotch bonnets, and see which of this years plants manage to survive the winter indoors. I'll leave the nagas to the pros for now. :hell:

Welcome here! seem like most of us you start with hardware store peppers ;)
in no time you will buy some crazy hot stuff and think about what you will plant next year!!

There is plenty of info here so enjoy your stay :)

Welcome from Fort Worth

***Warning***

Hot Pepper growing/farming can be hazardous to your pocket book...first you will start with a 5 or 6, 8 or 10 plants, then next year you will grow about twice that many, then the next year, twice again...it is definitely a habit forming hobby and before you know it, you will be growing thousands of plants...

Quit while you are still ahead of the game....

I hope all of you understand what I am saying is in jest, but that was the way it happened to me...

again, a big HOWDY from Texas

Thanks AJ. I hope you're not just trying to discourage future competition...

Sadly, I don't have enough room for thousands of anything unless I try growing upside-down peppers, peppers in the bathroom, and peppers in the trunk of my car. Shoot... those all sound like GREAT ideas! My wallet is already cringing.
