food-safety pH Meters/Test Kits

I'm getting ready to order a pH meter. Any suggestions?

Okay.... strips, or meters? I'm reading some mess on the meters about having to store them with a calibration solution..... Would strips work just fine, or is a meter better?

quick reply, sorry no links....

decent pH meters might run $80plus, the glass probes must be stored in a buffer solution (pH7.01), calibration solutions are also needed and should be used before each use.

Still in the package so can't speak for the quality and accuracy.
