Here's some pics from todays nature walk. Starting with a praying mantis on a blackberry and yes I left that berry alone. It was his to guard...

bumbles usually have yellow and black stripes in some pattern, maybe it's some type of imposter bug?  I did a quick google look but didn't see a match.  Joyners...Work your magic~  :)

That squirrel was not shy. It loved chipotle flavored sunflower seeds.
If that squirrel saved those chipotle seeds for the winter, he'll be all toasty warm all winter long!   :)

Google is my friend!  I just learned a bit about black bumble bees.  Thanks, Nate~

I have had sunflower seeds popping up in these giant groups in quite a few containers and several spots in the garden. I think a chipmunk was burying them. Must have been raiding bird feeders. I couldnt figure out how I missed seeing them or mixing them up because they were these stupid clumps of like 20 seedlings.

Anyway heres a couple snaps from the farmers market today.

Ok any of you pros want to answer questions?

Here's the deal...

Our Farmer's Market that were already vendors at this year started allowing "crafts". A few people think I should be selling prints. At first I vigorously rejected even the idea and just said no. Maybe I'm just scared none will get bought or something. I do know its a bit of cash to get prints, mattes, etc though too, which has also discouraged me.

Anyway after 3 weeks I am starting to consider it, but I dont know shit about how to go about it. Like...

What size prints?
Matted?
How much to charge?
What lab to use?

Any experience the pros can share?

I am a big fan of http://www.mpix.com/ - as for sizes, a lot of open markets I see do 4 x 6. If the person wants a larger size you will need to set prices and delivery methods. You could just give up rights to the image and sell the 4 x 6 for a set price that includes a digital copy sent through email that I'd only allow to blow up to a perfect 8 x 10 or one size up.

I am not a pro :)

You should matte and you can buy bulk to do that for a 4 x 6.

Just my 2 cents

Here is an example of one of my friends work and his pricing.
