food Pizza Time

Starter must have been real active. The crust was lighter and more airy than normal.

I brushed one of the dough with some hot oil and it really added a nice kick to it.

Oh lordy! Back in the day there was a Pizza chain called Godfathers Pizza. When I was a kid it was one of my favorite pizzas and you just nailed it! Thick, meaty goodness with browned cheese on top. Love it!

Godfathers went downhill and I'm not sure they're even still around but damm, they used to be good.

Nice Zah PK!

Man, look at all of those great meaty toppings ...

Just pop 'em into a nice white pepper gravy, and ... BOOM!

Cheers!

I see what you did there....;)

And thank you!!

Thank you, sir!! That is EXACTLY what I was shooting for!

We have a Godfathers Pizza in every Minit Mart (convenience store like a 7-11 or Circle K)....

And I agree with you 100%.....their pizza was AMAZING back in the lat 70's to early 80's.....but what they have now is a far cry from that! Next time I pick one up from there, I'll post it for you. :)

Phew! I am glad you were with me on that one. I wasn't sure if comparing your awesome deep dish to Godfathers would go over so well. LOL But back then it was absolutely killer! Now they're in mini marts? Yep. Down hill for sure.
