Nice!!! My first "new" axe I bought was around 6 months ago and a SGR Hellraiser C-1. Love it. Yours has a nice finish as well as the hardware.

I am headed to Luckenbach for a quick over-nighter tomorrow and to play with some friends in the pickers circle behind the store...

Rosebud (my mandolin) is having some inlay work done and isn't ready for the trip...I needed a backup mando anyway so I bought this one today...it's not near the instrument Rosebud is but has a great tone, plays nicely, and will bark at you when you want it to...made by Gibson and being a Loar model makes me happy since Rosebud is based on an F-5 Lloyd Loar model...

Nice. I like the "pickin' behind the store" w/ friends idea. No electricity needed for the mando either.

if you are a musician and have never been to Luckenbach...you will find no other place on earth like this.....I promise you that....and one other thing...the third verse of my song "Luckenbach Moon" is exactly what there is.....I wrote it after my first trip down there about 12 years ago or so...

There's nothing there except a store and some tree's
A bar in the back where you do as you please
A post office, a dance hall, and an old cotton gin
When the music start's playing they all start to grin

im digging the loar  hope you had a hell of a session.

was a great time sic....always good to be with friends....especially when they all have musical instruments in their hands

I just put a new set of D'Addario EXL110-3D's on my Carvin the other day and last night the 1st string broke to my amazement.
I have never broken a D'Addario string ever until now.

I never have liked Di'Adsario's....they just don't last long enough before that coating wears off....I use standard bronze or phosphur bronze martin's for my mando and guitar's....just personal choice...but when you own 4 martins I suppose that goes with the territory... :)

Coating? I think they are the best electric guitar strings made.
There's a reason Satriani uses them. ;)

They now have a new show high lighting contemporary (living) guitarists. Its called "Guitar Power". Its listed on D'Addario's youtube page. I like it. So far its electric guitarists. I really liked the interview of the picker from Philly. Relatively young guy who started playing on a banjo. The interviewer is pretty kewl too :)

Hey y'all.

Y'all have seen this guitar, Puta Negra, before.

'78 LP Pro with Lollar P90's, top wrapped.

She's hot.

I gave her some metal.

A Bigsby B7 with a Vibramate, and told her it was just like apirin.....only better.

Said I'd treat her just like a sister.....only differnt'.

She sounded like a she wolf in heat at midnight before.

Now she moan's like Raquel Welch in 1,000,000 Years B.C.

And she's ready to rock.

She smoked harder than penitentiary steel with a head like house cat.

This 'thang ain't never comin' off!

And this bitch is next!!!!

Stay tuned.

I gotta' order up some more sheeit.

I dig the paul with the bigsby. Im not sure how much i approve of dumping one on that V though? ;)   Its going to be diffrent for sure.

That is a valid point and one I have considered monsieur.

V's tend to be a bit midrandgey, not as much as an SG, but more like a Strat in the middle position.

The p90's in it fatten that up and pretty much turn it into a Strat with balls that a Strat will never have.

It won't have Les Paul fatness.

But adding a Bigsby will do two 'thangs.

Add a touch more high end, more sustain, and crispness.

I'll be installing a B5 and a V5 Vibramate on it so no drilling and reversible if I don't dig it but I believe I will.

The Vibramate in my opinion is actually better than hard mounting say a B7 with a cross bar as its mounted right into

the tailpiece stud posts and gets the mojo all the way down into the body vs. just going commando and mounting on

the top and having an extension

The back end will float but that's okay.

It'll float and I won't have saw out a chunk of the guitar case to fit it in there.

I don't want this.

I want this.

Play what you got amigo.

And play it like you stole it from Jimi.

Do your 'thang,

Wow,that one with the bar between the V looks terrible. im glad youre not doing that.

@Ronincat: like Tb said play what you got and there is nothing wrong with that.
