I'll figure out where to post picks tonight. I've fit a couple honeys - 1962 Martin 00-18, 1937 Gibson LG00, a Guild 12 string and my 1998 tobacco sunburst Guild Bluesbird.
Took me a few tries to get my Flikr password but here goes:
The National O-Style I just recently parted with - it was heavy as hell, a b!tch to keep clean and not very versatile since it only makes the resonator sound, but I miss it. Not enough to get another one, but I do miss it. http://www.flickr.com/photos/65304453@N00/2085249137
Tobacco sunburst Guild Bluesbird with all the fixin's - Fender re-issue Blues Deville 100 W tube amp has such a great tone and those humbuckers really come to life through it. http://www.flickr.com/photos/65304453@N00/6728951853
And naturally with Flikr I can't figure out how to embed the pics - sorry to make y'all click links.
Had about every guitar under the sun, but always wanted to try making one from scratch.
No kit parts, not even the fretboard. I selected the raw wood, aged it a couple years in my shop, and went to work. Cocobolo fretboard, alder body, maple neck, (partial neck through) with 26 frets. Seymour '59 is the pickup. The paint is Alsa candy orange over a gold base coat, with a satin clear. Very simple electronic setup, just a volume knob, and an output jack. I guess I rebelled from the overcomplicated. All one really needs is a guitar, chord, and an amp. Well... Maybe a few lessons early on
