RocketMan 2014 - Resurrection

Wow, first growing season in the new house and I'm totally stoked for this one. Lots of prep work still to be done but there's plenty of time to get it done before plant out. So, here is a pic of where Pepper Row will be going in:

I'll be coming out about another 18 to 24 inches from the fence. The brick line will move out to the new edge and the Ivey will be kept cut back to wher it is now so the fence doesn't show through, she who must be obeyed has made it known that she doesn't want to see it :)

I'm still working on the list and as these will probably be in for a while I'm actually thinking about rather a short list using the peppers I use most often in sauces but can't get locally like Fataliis and planting 3 or 4 of each.

The other, non-pepper stuff will be growing in the big bed at the end of the row. We'll be putting in raised beds there but first I have to remove this bast@rd:

That is some awesome stuff right there!!!

I think the Awesome stuff must be in the water here. Same seeds I used last year and didn't have these Turbo Charged results.

Great looking list, nice and tight.  And your germination rates are amazing.  Hope everyone has such good results.

Thanks Sawyer, I'm hoping for the same thing for everyone. I'd love to see some Monster grows this year! :D

Wow Bill, impressive germ rates!

Can't wait to see how things progress, looks like you're off to a great start.

Happy New Year!

Thanks Devv, still have a bunch of work to get pepper row ready but plenty of time before I'm ready to drop these babies in the ground so I'm not rushed

Hope everyone had a great holiday. Back to work :( today.

Impressive germ rates is for sure! That's an efficient way to use what you have at hand and should do just the trick. I like the trays you picked up. I need to find some of those deep ones for my hooks that just started popping up.

Back to work was no bueno but someone has to pay for the peppers

Man, I've had that light laying around for years. Used it from time to time working on the car after dark. I wanted to make one of the shelves in the Rocket Room a grow shelf and I plan I. Eventually getting a 2 light fixture with a T5 and a T8. I really could just put them outside but I like having the ability to start them inside till they're big enough to go out and survive if the weather goes south for a spell.

The trays were a comets lucky find. Walmart for under $5.00 :)

Ok, I'm not liking these new tray's. They're keeping the cells soaking wet so I'm afraid I'm drowning the seeds. Gotta think about this. Wishing I'd waited till I found the ones I had at the old house. Kept them just right.

Thanks, secret is not cheap trays :)

Going to have to figure out a way to raise the trays out of water and something that will wick it up to the bottom.

Just tooooooo darn wet! Going to let them dry some while I try and rig something up.

Have a great weekend!

Pics tonight, so out of the 90 seeds planted 5 are up and doing something. I'll be germinating more seeds and replanting what I have. There's some that I planted the last seeds I had, so I'll have to see what's left and adjust the grow. But hey, IT'S FRIDAY EVE!!!!!

Yes you can. They would also have deeper bins if it raises it to high but as long as water is touching the base you should be ok. Maybe one grid cut four ways would at least give four trays worth of spacing depends on the tray sizes - look around your office Im sure no one would mind  :shh:  ;)

Having to restart it all Andy, everything drown with these new trays I have. Cometely my fault for not thinking it through. My headspace and timing have been reset though So I'll be getting it started this week and get some pics up as soon as I can

Well, we definitely don't like that... maybe you might want to check out coheed's glog to see what he has to say about Horticubes... he sold me. Good luck Bill, we're pullin' for ya...

That's a phrase I haven't  heard in almost over 40 years... did you folks in the Arty carry Ma Deuces?

Yeah Baby, on most vehicles but as a launcher chief, since I had to be able to pull it inside during a fire mission I got to carry a SAW. M2 was mostly used on vehicles around the BOC and at the POC it was M60.
