romy6 2013

Well 2012 is old news so time to push onward. It was a great year for me pepperwise. If you did not get a chance to follow me last year and would like to check it out here is the link http://thehotpepper.com/topic/27252-romy6-2012/. It will save me from explaining my grow and being redundant. I am an outdoor grower only from start to finish. I try to keep my aphid /bug colonies to a minimum while batteling the temps as while growing in east central Florida. I plan on growing many other new varieties in a few months so keep an eye out. Until then I wish a great grow for all and look forward to following all of your grows. After fighting off the tequilla hangover this moring I managed to stumble along and pick my first harvest of the new year. Some yellow 7's, yellow scorps, yellw scotch bonnets with a tail, hybrid bhut, not douglah, mystery annums, choc hab , cho bhut bhut and a choc bhut x yellow 7 f3. Winter pods are always a little funky looking IMHO

 Happy New Year

Thank you Doc for stopping bye. I think you Cali chili heads are hoarding all the cold air and that is fine by me.

Never had the serpeant but hopefully in about 6 months that will change. I am onlytrying to grow two things from SS right now but Vincent ( coheed196) has sent me 5 varieties so I may start a few more when the the weather get's more better for outdoor germ.

Plants are looking nice Jamie! Lucky you w/all that nice weather out there! Can't wait for this cold spell to be over out here in California,So I can do some work outdoors myself.

Hey, Jamie! Great pod pics, bro! And good on ya for getting after those seeds!

Always like looking at the FloBoys grows in the winter!

Your right about that Mr. Sun Grow Light, mine is working like a champ. Just don't want to place it too close to the babies

Pods are looking good there Jamie. Nice size and color from your pics well, unless they're close ups but they still look good

Rob my man. The old mystery annuum is still alive( but fighting aphids as usual). I shall get off my ass and zap him back into action very soon. The Zapotec Jal I beleive is a very rare variety coming from the Zapotec peoples in Oaxaca, Mexico. Linda (roper2008) may be able to further enlighten us. Or G money ( Windchicken).

Slick Nick! Thanks for stoping bye. I can't wait for all of us to have weather like mine so we can see more pod porn!!!!!

Paul, always trying to hang with you and failing miserably :shh:

Linda Lou. How are you? Glad you are enjoying my grow. Hopefully it will be more better than previous years :D

Brother Bill. Don't baby those babies too much. Put them out there in full sun and see what happens :flamethrower:

Jamie my brotha! Must be nice to be able to start your glog with a harvest :) I'm finally slowing down with work now so I can get back on here and catch up with everybody. Looks like you've been having a good winter thus far. Got a lot to catch up on, so gonna hop on to the next glog. Hope your 2013 crop treats you well buddy!

Edit: Oh yeah, and I'm really looking forward to growing out your mystery anuum this year!

The give away is officially over. They will go to a chilihead in need . All the newbies out there must be sleeping.

Nice to see you out and about Vlad. Thank you kind sir:)

Stefan I wish I could send you great white northerners pods but sadly they would be mush . Sepia Serpeant is a cross from Silver Surfer. It is a nasty looking pod so I had to try and grow it. I think it is a douglah X choc scorp. Here is a pic of some of silver surfers pods. He is the master .

Oh man, those look gnarly and nasty. You could almost do a firebreathing act with them

Been a while, great updates with the video, pics and more, keep up da great work and certainly am enjoying the pepper porn & read :) Oh almost forgot, love to see you spreading the pepper love with that contest, too bad the noobs missed, what am I talking bout, I’m still a noob, lol ... Keep me updated on your new starts, I've not had much luck yet with mine in this winter wonder land :D

Brian, I am glad you are back in chili mode. Now that the first year is behind you I have a feeling you are gonna have a mack daddy grow this year :fireball:

Stefan, those bad boys do look painful. Not sure why I want to grow them so babdly ;)

Ramon good to see you back from you very short hiatus  Always trying to spread the heat to some newbies but I am finding that is much harder than it used to be  . Good news is I have many Northern chili friends that really appreciate fresh peppers in the middle of July.

Thank you Rick. No u da man !!! I was thinking about your amazing cooking ability when i ate last night. I am no where and never will be the cook you are but I still love to grill and it sure keeps the wife and family fat and happy

Last night was my signature meal. Two fresh yellow 7's sliced and diced with minced garlic, splash of olive oil, splash of lemon juice, and grilled to perfection with some chops and my wife's favorite Zuchini. Throw in some yellow rice, spongebob mac and cheese :drooling: , and some of Rocketman's fermented Righteous burn hot sauce( which Bill it was the last of it ( hint hint) ;) ) and you have your self a kick ass meal.

Hint received :)

Gotta get some going. Might have to do a batch or 2 of my non-fermented sauces going. Mayhaps the Captain will be by for a visit this weekend, Arrrr!

Yeah buddy! Keep it up and they're gonna move our glogs to the cooking with fire section! Those Sepia's look freak-nasty!
