SadisticPepper's (aka Elcap1999's) 2013/2014/2015 Oceanside glog update

Unfortunately, about half of the trays I had set up got shriveled up on account of a nasty wind storm drying them out. Oddly enough all the plants I had potted up already made it through without a problem, so I've spent the last couple of days redoing the ones I had seeds for, and the ones I didn't I just swapped them out with ones I recently got from PepperLover. Here's a couple pics:

Here's the trays I set out yesterday and today

On the left (going top to bottom, I have Red Brain strains, Red Morugas and Yellow Morugas. The middle group is Chocolate Morugas, Red Bhuts and White Bhuts, and on the right is Purple Bhuts on one half, and orange bhuts on the other half of the first tray, and Red Butch T's on the 2nd tray

Here's a little color coded legend I put together to keep them all straight. The color for the chocolate moruga didn't quite come out too well in the printer.

Dang....I gotta move the family to Florida....your killing me. Peppers in March.....very cool

It's  :hot:  :hot:  :hot:  down here during the summer, which I imagine the peppers would love. But yeah, having peppers essentially year-round is awesome! Down here in sunny South Florida is the key though

Looks great. I wish I had peppers now. Going to make some salsa in the next couple weeks. Have frozen pods for some hot sauce and grocery store has orange Habs from Chile. Grow Florida Grow so the rest of us can buy some fresh pods.

Dang..... :mope:

It's OK BSPH, you'll have pods as well before you know it! And I believe I mentioned it before, there's no shortage of farmland available for sale here. I even recall several 20-40 acre plots available, which would definitely be awesome for growing :)

You got it! As soon as these pods ripen, I'll definitely throw an ad up here. At the rate I'm going, I should have several boxes of red & yellow Morugas within the next month or two!

Yea I know but I have a really great job and I am waiting for a position to open up so I can transfer to Florida....I would love to grow all year I am a vegan and the food I could grow......

A transfer would be awesome :)

Got the timer and fertilizer injector installed, and they're working beautifully, so now I just have to kick back, relax and enjoy while my plants do all the work :)

Great news. I hope it works out the way you plan. Will be looking forward to seeing it.

As am I. Granted, I don't think one application will make a huge difference (the first application will be tomorrow for 3 hours), but you never know :)

Here's some more pictures of my pods. I guess the fertilizer I used really worked magic, since several of the pods are HUGE!

Looking good!!!

Thanks, even I was a little surprised when I went out and looked at them. I knew the fertilizer I got was good... I just didn't think it was mere coincidence that over 48 hours after the first application, these guys would grow so much, since a couple of these were about the same size even up to the day of application

Just checked a moment ago and I have hooks for the seeds I sowed 10 days ago. I have a Jonah, Red Brain Strain, Yellow Brain Strain, and a White Ghost so far, but it looks like more are coming since even yesterday, none of these hooks were present

So far so good. On a few plants that were affected by the broad mites, I'm still seeing wilted new growth, but I'm hoping that's just due to the stuff that was discussed and not due to the mites still being there. I'm going to give the affected plants another does of the Organicide tomorrow.

Update: U gave the affected plants a 2nd dose of organicide. Several of the plants had brown spots on the leaves and stems, so I made sure to get those too just in case, but they were only on the plants I had already trimmed and got with organcide previously. I also saw 2 plants with aphids on the far lowest leaves, so I made sure to get those as well :)

Quick update: I have a lot of seedlings that have sprouted the last week or so, and now I have every kind of seed I was hoping to get. I just need more numbers if I want to hit the 120 plants I was intending on having in the back area.

Also, I have a ton of pods on my Yellow & Red Morugas, but none have changed color yet. I can only imagine they're just taking their sweet time, and I'm trying to be as patient as I can, since I know that superhots can take upwards of a month to change color & fully ripen. That, and I have a couple people itching to have a box of them, and I have a personal pet peeve against being kept waiting, or keeping people waiting unnecessarily :)

Thanks for the update. Everything will work out. Good luck.

Thanks! These guys need to hurry up and ripen since I got a couple people waiting on them :)
