Thanks.  Bricks still being crapped on some things.  Trying like mad to make sure this goes as smoothly as possible.  It's not as easy as it looks!

It actually doesn't look easy at all. If it did I'd give it a shot with my recipes and idea. I can tell it's hard work.

Ummm, not to be taken the wrong way, but you launched 'something', on a website that doesn't exist yet. Are you selling packaging materials or sauce? I'm not trying to be funny, but why would you launch something without having something to launch? Kind of like launching the Apollo 5 without the command module. Just asking.

I have sauce ready to sell in singles, 3 packs or case quantities. Im not sure what you mean? It launches for the public 9/1. For now i've been doing cold calls selling cases to bars and restaurants.

The site will have more content like recipes, swag, sauce and what not.

  You'll have a rectangular sphincter for a while, but that's a good thing!  Glad to see the website going live.

Work your local connections and FM's for immediate cash while the www gets going.

Understood. I just found it weird to put a link to a website that doesn't exist. I wish you the best at your endeavor, just thought it a little strange.

I say nothing wrong with a soft launch or pre-launch announcement, but you should have a box where people can enter their email for notification of the live website and sale.

Defcon has a point. You link to a site where no action can be taken. In the least you could be gathering emails for notification.

Good luck!

I'm a little confused.

A 3-pack is $15, which is reduced from $20.

And a case is $70, reduced from $84?

So - 4x 3-packs = 12 bottles (1 CS) for $60.  And even at the listed "original pre-savings price" of $20, that would be $80/CS, not $84.

I spend $10 more to get a case than I would getting 4x 3-packs.

------------------------------------------------------

Other feedback:

I clicked on "our story" (bottom left) and it links to your recipe page.

"community" is kind of a weird name for social media links/posts. I expected to see a discussion community when I clicked it.

"News" links to "our story" - twitter feed might be a more intuitive association (or a blog, if you have one) - just kind of a weird nav.

Good luck!

Man, how could I miss that :(  I swear I have more grey hairs than when I got divorced  :tear:

Working hard to get it corrected... thanks again!

LD: where was the news link you clicked?  http://www.samandoliver.com/news/ brought me to the blogs area (off the main page)

http://www.samandoliver.com/our-story/#tab-1406134327-2-8 (Learn more, center tile at the bottom) brings me to the story about Oliver and Sam

I'll dig through and make sure none of the other links are pointing to the wrong page(s). < thanks!

Also 25% off would be $15 and not 14.95 :)

I would make sure your percentage signs add up when it comes to the math. Site looks good!

$84 - 17% is $69.72, if you guys are manually creating the percentage off signs you should see if it can be systemic and calculated by code.

Best of luck!

Can one only buy 1 bottle?

Usually when you see pricing like yours
(3-pack $20 $15 ) it's because a single bottle sells for 1/3 of the "slash price".

E.g. I'd expect to see 1 bottle for $6.67. This provides context for the savings price.

Without an original price, your slash pricing does not make sense. It just looks like you picked an arbitrary number to claim savings from.

Simply put, as a consumer I don't feel like I'm getting your 3-pack at a discount as I have no option to buy 3 bottles for more.

I hope I explained this clearly....haven't had my coffee yet. ;)

It was in the red section at the bottom, on the left. The nav links from the top are repeated there.
It appears you've fixed it. Our Story now links properly.

More feedback...

1. Is it possible for you to have "add to cart" links right on the home page?  The fewer the clicks, the better - I have to click the link to the product, then click "add to cart".

2. On the page for "12 bottles", the image you used is of 16 bottles.  Some might consider that misleading. I know you state "12 bottles" but people are visual.  Probably not that big a deal, but I'd suggest using an image of 1 bottle or of 12 bottles. I definitely would not use an image of 16 bottles.

3. Shipping - is shipping free? I went all the way to the "checkout" link, but I did not go to PayPal - all the way through I never saw anything about shipping. If you wait until people are paying to show them shipping costs, you're going to get a lot of complaints - I say this from experience...my 1st website did something similar. I had numerous complaints, and the metrics showed people adding to cart, checking out and then abandoning the purchase at check-out. It was the #1 reason I changed my site to the current format. You at least have to put "plus shipping" or "Note: shipping calculated at check-out".

Site looks sharp though. Don't mean to be a negative Nancy....I worked on web development projects for years as a project manager, so I can't help but do QA on stuff like this. Hope this helps.

4. Wholesale = 1 word. On the product list (home page) you have it as "Whole Sale Pricing Available"

ugh... I just lost my entire post because chrome reloaded the page, standby :(

too long to retype it all:

I burned down my startup capital so I don't have the expensive plugins for dynamic pricing and dynamic shipping options.

USPS's plugin = $$$, same with UPS and fedex options
Dynamic shipping module for woocommerce is $$$
Dynamic pricing module for woocommerce is $$$

So if you wanted to get a 3-pack then go back and add 1 bottle more, it would go from the flat rate $5.90 to 12 something for the medium flat rate box (USPS).  I would have to add the USPS and UPS modules into the woocommerce app to get that to work, something I can't afford at the moment.

Price breaks: I am trying to sell the 3-pack as my top choice for best value, so it will be a deeper cut than the rest because I want to move more of them.

I'll take a closer look at the pricing.  I know it's rounded up, it's not going to show (16.78232% off!) on the photo... it's going to round up.  Again, it's a formula... and there may be an error, but ultimately should be $14.95 for the 3-pack, the case I'm working on still, was undecided about including a case price on the page, but wanted to price-break at that quantity, especially when the 2nd recipe is released.

I wanted it to work with dynamic shipping that would show you your options as you added things to the cart, and let you pick the venue best for you, but it costs more $$$ than I can swing at this point, so USPS fixed rates it is, and any larger orders (like the guy who ordered 10 cases) I had to do by hand and invoice him directly.

I'll have to figure the "add to cart" options in on the home page.  What happens when there is more than one, two or 3 flavors though?  Wouldn't the buyer have to click on products, then choose the flavor anyway?

I'll look at the image.  It was a stock image used because of a last minute add.  I've got other images I can use showing an actual case.

Wholesale.  God how did I miss that...  *facepalm*
