If all else fails and you don't want to lose your plants, try acetamiprid. Ortho Flower, Fruit, and Vegetable insect killer. I got it at Home Depot. I used it twice (judiciously) while my plants were still in the greenhouse. Worked great. It decomposes to harmless compounds within about 8 days. It didn't harm the plants, at all.

Good luck.

Hi Pia, don't despair. Your plants look strong. They will come back. I find Neem Oil works wonders for aphids. If you don't have this, plain soap and oil mix will work. If you have little white flies that buzz from under the leaves it may be whitefly. Garlic may be a good add to the mix if it is them white mf's... good luck!

Dang it, sorry about the aphids - nasty things. Hang in there until you can get them into the ground - than an army of good guys will get them! Good luck with your efforts to keep them at bay until then!

YOU LET THE SPIDER LIVE!!!
I could here the disappointment in your voice talking about your little ones...you still have a ton of plants. They ain't all the perdiest in the world, but they're gonna make it and produce for you! Just keep chugging Pia...don't let the man bugs get you down! Aphids are a real P-I-A but they really just make 'em a bit slow and not so perdy. Don't know what is eating your leaves, but it isn't aphids or gnats...looks like cat damage or you got a caterpillar slug or snail in there somewhere.

+1 what Doc said on the acetamiprid. I keep a squirt bottle of it in my grow room for the aphids and fungus gnats, both of which seem to spring from the very walls of my house...It's odorless and looks like water. I believe it's actually a type of synthetic nicotine.
You seem to be paying your chile grower dues these past couple of seasons...Didn't you bring some plants back from the very edge of devastation last year? A dedicated grower who makes it through those kind of travails is sure to end up being a master gardener!

Good luck...I'm confident you will bring them around.

Pia,
You may want to move your containers outside, spray them with the hose then use your chemicals. While they're outdoors clean the grow area, shelves, fixtures, plant trays (in and under) remove any leaf debris. The aphids can lay they eggs elsewhere other than on the plants. Aphids are beatable...to other insects...

Had them outside most of the day today. I sprayed them good with the hose and used an insecticide I for got the name of them. They are in my garage now as I have to prep the garden. It is supposed to stay around 50 for the lows for the next couple of days so they will be hardening off next week. Hope that gets rid of em and they can start to come around. I also got rid of most of the ugly leaves on them.

Did it work for you? Sounds like you are almost ready to put them out!

I am soooo sore. I did mostly landscaping in the front yard today. Laying down about 40 bags of black mulch after I fix some outside lights that arent lighting. Tomorrow I am going to work on the garden. Tilling up the grass and spraying to kill the roots and then tilling the soil to add in some ferts. I am tired also my friend and since I'm not getting any younger, I am taking it slow slow slow. Thanks

Oh man 40 bags of the black mulch... most likely the plastic mulch right... I heard somewhere or on here that the dyed mulch can bleed into the soil thus causing problems with the plants... ??? or i could be in the wrong...

Our family has two pits that run around the back yard and this is what im doing to prevent them from chomping on my babies... one of em has already gotten to one of my Blue mystery plants... Started putting these up afterwards...

Just dug down abit after i transplanted em and put the cages up...
