food Sandwich of the Month

Walked around the store thinking of what I wanted for supper, decided on a mix of Philly cheese steak and beef Po-Boys.
Made some bread

Bought a chuck roast and froze it to slice it thin, browned it in batches to get a good flavor then did the same with the peppers and onions. That's a cheap can of nacho cheese warming back there.

Dude.

Ditch those steak fries.

Need more room for sammich.

And what a glorious one it is indeed!

I've never had the Duke's.

But dig on the Hellmann's/Best Foods.

I also used to dig on the dry Coleman's.

Kine' like Chinese mustard mixed with H20.

Can't seem to find it lately.

Oh and...

The shredded chuck.

Monster grade meat.

Taco it.

Chimichanga it.

Sammich it.

Nacho it.

Potato stuff it.

Goulash it.

Sloppy Joe it.

Over easy egg it.

Chuck roast is good food.

Dukes!!.........YUCK .......... :D
That's the first jar of Duke's for me, I'm a Blue Plate guy but it was on sale so I tried it. I haven't opened another jar of Blue Plate yet to do a comparison but it's not bad.

Edmick, that looks killer. I might have another one tonight myself.

I like the Hellman's organic. KewPie too!

The bacon is in a bag because; when we cook bacon we generally cook off the whole slab and save some for sandwiches or to add to beans, etc. later on in the week :)

Tomato is an Import
Canadian Hothouse heirloom tomato was quite good considering storebought.

I could have made lunch out of just a pile of shishitos  :drooling:  they are so yummy

I've been craving a BLT for a while though.

and that sweet tea vodka with lemonade 1/2&1/2 Arnold Palmer Stylee   :drooling:  oh man that is refreshingly good

killer BLT i want it!!! tell me, did any of the shishitos have any heat? i`m growing them now and wondering if they are mild of have some heat?

thanks :D

1 out of the bunch had a tiny bit of heat. less than an average weak Jalapeno...
but i cant say it was without heat, as my wife would have been upset if she got that random "hot" one

No, I didn't make this sandwich, but dammit, if it ain't the best freakin' sandwich I've ever had, I don't know what the hell is.....

Tommy Dinic's Roast Pork sandwich at the Reading Terminal Market, in downtown Philly. This sandwich has been on tons of TV shows (Travel/Food channels, etc.) for good reason. Here's the clip from an episode of "Man vs. Food"
Actually, Adam Richman did a spinoff show of MvF, called "Best Sandwich in America" (or something close to that). He pitted different sandwiches from different regions of the USA against each other, and set it up like a playoff bracket. The roast pork sandwich from Dinic's ended up winning the whole thing

Anyway, here's a few pics I took while I was there :)
