seed-train Seed train caboose (at least from me)

I should mention I haven't been able to get a hold of xcsports... his inbox is full, and he hasn't been online since 4/22.

I'll keep trying. But if he doesn't come back online by the time I get it, should I send to the next person on the list, and we re-add him at the end? or what do we do?

Orrrrrrrrrr I could just keep it for a month and perform some minor repairs ;)

Just kidding about that last part, but not about Standard Operating Procedure when we can't get a hold of someone...

All I can say is that I would expect to be skipped if I hadn't forwarded my mailing info and it was going to hold up the train. I'd be bummed, but I would only blame myself.

And, its really easy to just let someone jump back in as next person in line if something like that happens.

ok, its decided then.

He's a good kid, and I'm pulling for him to log in before it gets to me :) there is still time, and thus still hope. I'll get the address of the person after him just in case though,,,

Going through the seeds, been a busy and cold weekend here, calling for snow today. and i thought i was going to be putting them out next week. think again. should get them to the post office later this morning and will update with a tracking #

sorry man about not being on had alot of school projects and stuff and was travelling to help out some family members ill fix my message box :)

fixed i have been busy latley but i have been checking the site at least every other day just not logging in.

Just got home and went by the PO box and BAM!!!! There is the box.

I'll get it out tomorrow. Hopefully in the AM.

I'm kinda tipsy tonight after a visit to the local brewery, so tomorrow morning might be a little foggy and tomorrow night might be the departure date. :drunk:

Just looked through it. Not much different from the last time I saw it. Lots of cool stuff as long as you are not a single focused superhot nut. I hope everyone enjoys it. It'll be back in the mail tomorrow.

Looks like it should be here Monday, and of course my mail don't get here till late in the afternoon so it will go back out on Tuesday afternoon.

hah, I bet I get BOTH trains at the same time.

The other train I'm on the guy got the box today as well.

Kind of cool. The other train goes to Sr. Beaver next after me IIRC, and on this one, its Sr. Beaver then me.

Any way, excited to get some new seeds :D

Ok no worries... The mail that was in my box must have been from yesterday...

The train pulled into the station, its been checked out, and I'm going through my seeds to spare what I can, and sending it back out hopefully today, but if not, first thing in the AM.

I have an errand to run, and if I can get my seeds in the box before the PO closes, It'll be out again tonight :).

Wow I have been away for a while, it is nice to see this thing still floating around. I am happy that a lot of growers were helped by this, that was the point. A few problems with the concept have become rather obvious though.

Seeds do not get into the hands of that many growers in a timely fashion. I live in Wisconsin and currently I am hardening off plants and getting ready to plunk them in the ground. Southern growers should be rocking by now not germinating.

Superhots are going to disapear first, thats the way it is. I can blame people for wanting superhots, what the heck I do!

I thought this could be a self sustaining deal and by and large it has been, but human nature is what it is, in retrospect it is easy to see now. This thing suffered quite a few horrific crashes with people bailing out the windows.

During hunting season my focus and free time are consumed by the woods. Thats why I stop doing SASE and start the seed train. I dont have time to play constable nor would I want to. I think this year after the SASE I will divide the remaining seeds into prize packs and hold a contest of some sort. Seeds will be the sole property of the winners to with as they wish.

I am just not sure I want my name attached to one of these again.

Chad

Chad dont be discouraged buddy this train was a great idea. it helped a lot of people including me and in return i have been able to help a few thp members with seeds and also a few healthy plants . so even though it was derailed a time or two the upside was way more than the downside. thanks and keep up the good work.
rick.

Its a great idea Chad... People being who they are, this has gone surprisingly well I think, and even without a constable, the generosity of THP members has won out.

By the way, I forgot to post that I shipped out the train :).

sorry to have to ask but who do i send the train to next? my computer is slow and i lost my ipod all that i got in the train was mostly cayennes and orange habs so im fixing it up for next in line
