First things first, I can't cook anything I never ate. So today ordered Lo-Mein from my local Chinese take-out. It threw the lady off taking the orders because I always order the same combination fried rice. She was like "for real" Haha.

i gotta go pork for my lo mein ... but I'm with ya on the rangoon ... I also love the pot stickers (gyoza) ... both fried, with the lightweight soy-based sauce, or in wonton soup ...

There's a Chinese place in N. Dallas thats pretty good. If I have time before the TD, I'll try their version of Lo-Mein too, but I think I seen enough to start a game plan.

Anybody have a Wok I can borrow?

I have one but never use it. I also never make Chinese food. I am not sure if I will attempt to use it. I may just use a sautéed/ fry pan that I am more familiar with.

If you don't have a wok use a large skillet.

Surface area is the key if you don't have crazy high heat

Sometime ago, Dad made a strange cooking contraption, he said was mine to take. It's kinda big and heavy, and I never got around to bringing it home. Looking at it today, it appears it can be a badass wok station, so might have to drag it home for the TD. Plus I think Dad wants it out of his way already. One thing for sure, I'll be cooking Outside for the TD.

Lol place I go to lunch I always get beef lo mein spicy dude always rings it in and I don't say anything.
Dinner I always get different stuff but not lunch. He'd fall over if I ordered something different.
