i hung around a while at my place later than usual to see how the plants reacted to the shade.
the chininses didnt wilt at all, where as the newest growth previously would droop considerably.
the annums were uniformly just a bit droopy, whereas previously they would wilt like they were a day from death.
i cant wait to get my irrigation system working, i think that will help a bit as well. after august 15 i should have like 2 weeks to work on it in earnest.
