Share your Favourite Bahaman Goat sauce recipe...pls!

There are loads of threads about making sauces, etc, but I am ten thumbs in a kitchen, so I have no way of judging which are really good and which are not.

I have tonnes that seems very good, but perhaps you could share your favourite one, if you feel it will work for Goats...? ;) Please supply measurements where possible..."add some water" does not cut it when you are 'kitchen challenged'!

I have no preconceived notions on thickness, consistency etc...hit me with your best shot! :onfire: (Pls)

What is Bahaman goat sauce?

You jest, Sir! It's an incorrect spelling of Bahamian Goat Pepper...

and also:

It's a sauce made from this

First you go to the Bahamas. Then you buy a young goat...

That's 'saucy', not 'a' sauce. Nice enough too I guess....is it?

well, first question, what does the bahamian goat pepper taste like are they chinense?...the ones in the palm of his hand look chinensish

Scott, I thought you were kidding, mate - apologies!

Hey, I got these from one of the forum members, and presumed they were dead common! Lol!

AJ, they are similar to, but hotter then, a Habanero to my palate, but I have no idea how to tell if they are chinense or not. (sorry)

I will post some of my own pics in a few moments...

A few moments later...

and here's the leaf configuration. Perhaps that helps to tell if it's a chinense? (chileman.org has it as a chinense)

It's not a big deal if I can't get a recipe for this specific pepper. Perhaps I should have posted for everyone's 'favourite' sauce, and then see which one adapted best...

The pics are totally different to mine, so perhaps mine are not goats? (No funny comments, Mr. Arboc!) ;)

Ahhh - I had a really good one about inflatable inflatable sheeps. Bummer!

Got your tickets for the World Cup in real football BTW?

Not at those prices, Bud!

Our local black population also has the most infuriating plastic trumpet-like instrument which blares when blown and they blow them incessantly! Very novel for the first four minutes and then pure hell.

Besides Italy will win again...FORZA AZZURI!!

I cant help you with a measurement recipe, but I can tell you about the conchy joe's sauces have for ingredients - bahama goat pepper sauce.

the inferno version - goat peppers, onions, papaya, finger peppers, mustard, vinegar, lemon juice, mango, garlic, turmeric.

the fiery hot version - papaya, goat peppers, onions, mustard, finger peppers, mustard (? why labeled twice ?), vinegar, mango, lemon juice, garlic, turmeric.

the hot version pretty much the same ingredients but the chiles lower on the list.

I'd say those goat peppers will work great with any ingredient mix you make. I'd treat them like any chinense chile.

Yeah, well said!

From what I've learned in the last week, I should be able to pull off a palatable sauce, which is hopefully too hot for my family...

I would imagine that the sauce company has left an ingredient or two off their label to prevent competition, or are they required by law to divulge every singe ingredient?

Either way, I think I need to find a good vinegar (apparently this does make a difference) via the forum, and then I'll hit the laboratory!

Thanks for the reply!

by law you need to label ingredients, I think certain spices you dont have to label.
if theres any kind of ingredient people are allergic to they must label those.
I like white wine vinegar the best, but it seems like any vinegar is better than the cheap basic white distilled vinegar.

use ingredinets you like. I havent tried those sauces yet but I would of loved it if they left out mustard from the sauce.

They are pretty damned annoying aren't they. Italy will not win, they must atone for their sins last time around, GO SOCCEROOS!!!!!!

They taste similar to habs and scotch bonnets and are definatly chinese as they are related to the habanero.
But I prefer the yellow scotch bonnets i have as far as flavor goes.

BTW: I have a sauce recepie I made in the hot sauce section if anyone is interested.
