She Kept Her Cool..

that was horrible...but you have to do what you have to do..

The sad part is that lady is going to have to live with a nightmare which was out of her control

You know, I don't blame her a bit for shooting him, but she could have warned him that she had a gun. Or even fired a warning shot...

But it was a shotgun Jay! The warning shot would have probably got him anyway! Just goes to show that you don't go breaking into peoples houses. Another thing is if she had warned him that she had a gun and he had one too then he could have taken measures to shoot her first.

she did fire a warning shot - the shot she fired is a warning to everyone else not to attempt to break into her house

I heard that the other day....man that was something....She did what she had to do...if she would have shot and wounded him he probably would have tried to get her again and he still would have ended up dead.....she fell to pieces as soon as it was over asking for forgiveness....but it'ss a situation he put her in ...she didn't ask for it....he did it to himself....imo

Not to mention trying to sue her for damages.......

That's it Dick, we have all heard stories of guys breaking into houses and hurting themselves, only to sue the homeowner for not providing a safe "working" environment.

when I was a game warden in south Florida, they had (and may still have 6 person jurys) and one of the standards they drilled into our skulls when I was in Law Enforcement school was "it's better to have 6 tryin' you than 6 carryin' you"

the wife and I had a talk yesterday about this exact thing and we are prepared for any home invaders that dare to come to our place...no details, but let's just say we are ready...

I feel sad for the lady , because the way she feels ..... she will will have to deal with this for the rest of her life. That's truly sad. But at least she's still here to tell her story no matter how sad. IMHO the story could be worse if that wanker got to her.

The wife and I have two lines of defense. The first line is BIG @SS DAWGS. They don't sleep as heavy as a firearm. If you can't tell your fixin to enter the gates of hell when they go off ..... what can I say. Also Bad Bowy's will test you when point a gun at them. Very few decide to call a DAWG's bluff.

With me ... I'm a Texan, almost the same as the Okie lady. This is my home and castle. I didn't ask you to come jack with my world . You entered my world and life with bad a wicked heart. My wife knows if I'm not here ..... and the Dawgs don't change their view on breaking in ..... punch a hole in the door with her pistol and let them know she's a female and WILL blow your BALZ into next week.

I don't feel sorry for people who think they need to break into your home. I get nuff vexed about that shite. That could have been my Mom , Granny , or Wife ...
