Should I eat this or toss it?

Hey guys,

Yesterday I purchased a bottle of Louisiana Hot Wings sauce; when I pulled off the orange shrink rap over the neck, I noticed a glob of white stuff. At first I thought it was mold or some contaminant, but after thinking about it I suspect it might be some form of preservative that was jetted down the neck of the bottle prior to sealing and just wasn't mixed in properly. Does anyone know anything about commercial bottling and whether this is likely?

And whats the verdict? Toss it out, or shake it up and try it?

pitch it- The sauce looks dry inside the neck, which would indicate the bottle was not sealed properly. Most wing sauces have butter and/or cream in them and could potentially be really bad if it's spoiled. It's much riskier than just a vinegar-based hot sauce.

Thanks for the input guys, I had half decided to just eat it before checking back in :P

Salsalady - thanks for the heads up regarding the bottle. The sauce is vinegar based, it says to add it to melted butter for wings.

There's actually a poll here?!

Weird, white goo in $.99 bottle of hot sauce... hmmmmmm I wonder.
