Should I move my Fatali?

I planted a fatali in the ground next to a cherry Tomato plant. The tomato grew a lot bigger than expected and is now 5 feet tall. My poor fatali is shaded most of the day now. It is just starting to flower. Can I move it easily without hurting the plant or should I just leave it?

I agree, so moving either the fatali or the tomato might kill it?

It will probably chock it and you risk not getting any fruit. I would too move the tomato plant because I can get "decent" tomatoes at the grocery store but fresh fataliis? If I want that I'll have to grow my own. The tomato wouldn't be such a big loss IMO.

What kind of tomato is it? Its probably a lot easier to dig up the fatalii, and then you could put it in a pot and overwinter it if desired

hey Jim, reckon if ya move the Tomato and give the Fatali full sun it will go to shit. If its Flowering YAY its Liking where it is or wouldn't be.

remember my Fatalis that were HUGE and round the side of House, had to crawl under them. Put them out of Pots into the Yard in full sun they Hated it and went shit.. just pruned the sticks that they became and just pulled out of ground, put into pots and back round side of house for next season and planted more seeds in case they don't come back..

prune the Tomato a Bit if its too covered :)

good advice

i'm with Neil. Prune the tomato around the fatalii and let it be. i had the same issue and 2 weeks later i was loaded with ripe pods.

agree with the above. I have a 7 foot cherry plant that was massively taking over so I pruned the hell out of it. I must have chopped off half the plant and there were instant results to the plants affected by it's coverage.
