You don't need to explain your situation. A polite response would have been cool though, and maybe send the train on. The best way to get understanding and compassion is to treat others with respect.
 
I agree, it's great that we have started a new train - it's too bad that we had to though.
 
Judging by your handling of this situation, I'm not sure how many of us will want to continue with you running it.
 
I understand, life happens. You can't always control it. You could however have let the train continue on while you dealt with whatever you needed to.

Some people may think that this is all about a bunch of pepper seeds, but it's actually much more than that.
There's something to be said about ones credibility. We are only as good as our word. Once you make a commitment, it's a promise to everyone that you will do what you say you will do. No one should have to ask for you to keep your end of the deal, it should just be understood. Sadly once that trust is gone, it will never return.

You have an opportunity right now to make things right again. How you respond to this will determine how you are judged. I urge you to do the right thing so that we may finally put this all behind us.

Let me break this down for you. I'm almost positive you don't care anymore and probably sold off these seeds under a different name to your local green house. It was already in the back of my mind but then I received PMs telling me the same assumption.
 
Here, you seem to need to see this fully broken down:

Starting a train and 'running' it does not make you the owner. You can't just do what you've done and expect people to respect your decisions.

Imagine, if you will, not having to worry about being unable to fulfill your promises but there is someone who stepped up to the challenge and across the board as well as over the top succeeded? You are witnessing that situation right now. Do you see it? I'm just bitching at you. There is another guy here who  has picked up where you left off. My hat goes off to that man. I'm happy he did what was needed.

A damn good hobby. I doubt anyone seriously considered this was in any way to be a money making scheme? Well...maybe one (wry smile). Playing the pity party card on us isn't going to help you. Besides, it's your secret personal business so how could we possibly relate? Just remember, I have personally offered numerous way to take this burden off your hands up to and including having someone pick up and mail the train for you. That is 0 activity on your part. Please enlighten us how we are somehow not showing you any compassion? Pfft...

There is still time to rectify this. Fuck, you can skip me. You probably hate me by now anyway. Send it to another guy in the train. Just get it back out there. Seriously though, what are you doing with all those seeds? Are they just sitting there? Are you keeping them in the proper environment to ensure viability? Have you considered this? They're probably just sitting on your dining room table. Am I right?

If it's like Ohio, they lose some but not too many to make it an issue. Our red tailed hawks are our biggest issue. Them and any stray dogs that kill for sport. I'm still working on ways to give our chickens more safe havens for when the hawks swoop or dogs come by. The hawks started ignoring the moveable scarecrows I made. Took them half a year but they figured it out.

I have faith in it's potential. Hopefully everyone from the old detained one noticed this new one in time to sign up. If not this years, we can build up for next years grow. I may start a pepper plant just for inside. The wife likes a/c so maybe I can start a manzano for inside?

Well said, man.

It's funny how he expects some understanding and compassion when he acts totally defensive and condescending the entire time. It's obvious that this is one very oblivious, self centered individual.

Do you notice he never says 'sorry' or anything remotely apologetic in any of his posts?

And guys, the train is in "proper holding at the moment," why can't you respect that?(hah, you have to know we are not that stupid, and you sound like an idiot)
After all, you should know...after weeks on the road, these seed trains need a little rest to recuperate. ;)

I received the baby train today. I'll send out tomorrow and post about it on the new train thread.

I have a couple questions:
 
- The powder envelopes that aren't marked. What peppers are they made from? Anything added?
 
- Time Bomb: I started Googling this and now I'm on the FBI list! (just kidding, I think). Can you tell me a little about it?

the way i understand, this one here is just in holding and as soon as possible when life slows down, this train will roll on.
