Healthy, bushy and stocky.... complete and utterly awesome, SS!
Looks like the cold and hot spells balanced out quite well. Bootiful........May was crazy; the first half record cold and the last half set records for heat....
Same tractor in pic, a Fiat 466DT. 54HP diesel. I'll see about some tractor porn for ya in some future pics.Great garden!
What kind of a beast do you pull the subsoiler with? Love tractor pics.
It is good to see you're alive. The whole garden looks great. What generation is that Jalabanero at? Is the pod shape etc. consistent?
Does the drip tape have to be laid-out on a downward sloping incline and how did you get your plants to get so bushy throughout?Corn was already tosslin' and okra was gettin' fried at this time last season. May was crazy; the first half record cold and the last half set records for heat. June is hot and dry so far so the drip irrigation gets a workout. The drip tape is performing much, much better than the soaker hose used last season, but it sucks to get plants started earlier and set out so late. I did manage to pick over a pound of pods this AM though.
Nope, level, uphill or down it delivers evenly provided your slope isn't too extreme.Does the drip tape have to be laid-out on a downward sloping incline and how did you get your plants to get so bushy throughout?
What is you general spacing for your peppers and maters?
Last season I planted with rows spaced at 40 inches with 30 inch spacing within the row. This season I tightened it up to 30 inch rows with 2' spacing because I wanted to plant more in the same space. I spaced the corn rows really tight with 2' rows and around 4 to 6 inch spacing.
