SKULLBIKER 2023, LESS FOR ME

I thought about not doing a GLOG this year but have decided to "just do it". My grow will be much less this year with no super hots planted(although there are a few previous plants still going). Most new plants will be Jalapenos and various pheno's of PeppaPeach as those are the ones that I consume massive amounts of.
This old pick of days gone by will be my lead pic for this years GLOG. I have several new ones taken since Jan 1, and I will be posting them as I get time until I am caught up.

OK now, everyone get out there and produce some peppers.

Time for better pepper news.
First bud on the bigger of the Ecuadorian Sweet Rocoto plants. It'll probably drop it but it's nice to see one show up.

First pod on a Cherry Bomb plant.

Look at the mass of buds on the growth tips of the Orange Jalapenos!

The flowers on the Orange Jalapenos are huge......just screaming "LARGEST JALAPENO".

I woulda said aphids as well. Either way, gone is gone lol.

That's a bunch of buds on that Orange Jalapeno SB! Is that a NUMEX Orange? If so, they didn't produce very LARGE pods for me. About the size of my little finger. Of course, everybody knows everything grows bigger in Florida. No, wait.......šŸ˜‰

No, that isn't a Numex Orange, it's an off(as in way off) pheno from saved Numex Lemon Spice seeds. See posts #15 & 24. I had one plant producing the orange pods last year also and the pods were fairly large with good flavor and heat.
I think you have Florida confused with Texas šŸ¤” although we may grow bigger bugs and pests!

I've got some pretty good sized leaves on the new PeppaPeach Stripey plants.

One of my Sugar Rush Red plants seems to be producing some orange pods! I'll have to see if they go to red but I don't remember them going through an orange phase the last two years. Maybe it's all those orange groves around me!šŸ¤”

Here's the new plants that still need to go into containers.

Here's a jalapeno pod on one of last falls plants. It almost looks like it's transitioning to brown..........šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™‚ļø.........maybe a chocolate jalapeno.

I harvested a few more today. I guess I need to get them while the gettin' is good. We had 4 inches of rain in 5 days and the plants are looking a little bleak. In another six weeks or so our rainy and HOT season will begin.
Anyway, Brainstrain on the left and 7 Pot Bubblegum on the right.

4 inches of rain and it's not even the rain season?

Not yet, but soon enough. When it starts it'll rain nearly every day about 3:30 in the afternoon, heavy downpours lasting from a few minutes to an hour. Paradise isn't always as people perceive it. I think it is because there is none of the snow here where I live, I lived with snow and bitter cold(-35Ā°f) for 65 years.
