SKULLBIKERS 2019 Container and Kratky GLOG

I am starting an indoor grow experiment so I might as well start the new years glog at the same time. Today I threw 3 seeds in the dirt(hoping for 66% germination). I will keep 1 in dirt and 1 in Kratky. These will stay in my grow room under my 8000K T8 shoplights from the beginning through fruit.

Pic from a few days ago, Floridizing the containers that were not already done.

I was looking at those pots under Billy Boy and Cherry Bomb the other day and wondering what they were. Looked like you went to the goodwill and got you some metal cannibal cookware.

Good luck to Monty. You heating him up mighty strongly, huh?

Oh jeez skull, I guess I better get me a duck. I PT'd your grow log twice in a row now. Matty would really appreciate that accomplishment. BTW, you have all the greenhouse luck, dontcha?

A little update on the peppers, the free standers lost a few leaves in the wind the other day.
The first Biker Billy Jalapeno.

This is the last Rocoto Montufar that germinated, well behind the others. Leaf span is about the size of a dime. I told him since he was so far behind he must go TUBULAR! Oh Yeah,Fly or Die Baby!!!

I just thought I would do a quick post on my current potting mix. I mix it up in my little 3 X 5 foot garden trailer. First a 2 cubic foot bag of Miracle Grow Potting Soil (not the moisture control crap).

Then I spread out an expanded block of coir.

Next I put put my 80 volt Greenworks Pro Tiller into the trailer (always starts and no more gas mixing).

I buzz it around about 2 or 3 minutes and this is the final mix.

Just a quick note to the Miracle Grow nay-sayers, Save your breath, I have heard it all and have used Miracle Grow Products for over 30 years.

I happen to be a MG product user. I picked up 50 1 cubic foot bags last fall for 50 cents a bag on clearance. I filled 32 gallon clean garbage cans with it to let it become fungus gnat free, just in case. I still have over 100 gallons left. Now is the time to shop for gardening supplies as they want to fill the shelves with Christmas goodies..

Do you add any nutes to it now or later on?  I add the perlite, some fish bone meal, azomite, and tomato tone.

A little shortage of planting media so quite a few peppers being planted 4 per 25 gallon container. A few singles in 43 litre containers and tomatoe plants in 18 gallon containers.
On the left are 4 Rocoto Montfars from seed saved from the ones grown in Minnesota this year before the move. On the right is a single Italian Pepperoncini with 3 Jalapeno Gigantia.
