Thanks but most it is done by the big guy above(like photosynthesis and whatnot). If you can stay ahead of the pests the weather is great for all types of growing.

I think no more Papaya here. I'm not a big fan and the wife apparently is not either. I will focus on the fruits that we really enjoy.

I picked four of my cauliflower heads today. These turned out real nice.

Love all that you got going on here. I cried when I seen them onions! Looking forward to see what else you may grow. Ever heard of Pigeon peas aka gandules? It's used alot in Latin cuisine and would grow great in your neck of the woods.

I actually hadn't heard of them. I researched them a bit and will pick up a can of them at the store to see if I like them. If I like them I'll order seeds and plant some.

Fantastic Glog! I didn't expect to see Miracle Fruit here, I've been trying to get my hands on some seeds for a while now. Does anyone know of a reputable source for exotics (seeds) of this nature in Europe? I've only stumbled upon some Chinese sellers, the kinds who sell "rainbow roses" and "blue watermelons."

I noticed some of the upper branches on the Mango tree are flowering.

I have so many different mixes of soil, media, perlite, etc. in my containers(approx 150) that I wouldn't even know where to begin. It's probably not similar to most peoples mixes. I think if you do a search on this forum for container mixes you will find many options.

Here is a simple one I used for years and easily available.
(2) 2 cubic ft bags of MiracleGrow potting mix(DO NOT get the moisture retaining type)
(1) bag of Black Kow Manure compost(I think it's a 35 pound bag)
About 2 gal. perlite
Feed new plants with Miracle Grow QuickStart mixed as directed.(I use one capful in a cat liter jug)

There are a million mix combinations, this always worked for me. YMMV

I'm curious to see how the Brad's Atomic grape will perform in your area. I sent you seeds from a spontaneous rounder pheno that appeared in my garden that year. It grew very well for me back then: same great taste, same color and productivity as the original but with bigger/heavier fruits. Unfortunately this was not the case last summer but the weather was not particularly good either so...

I germinated three of them. I gave one to my neighbor and just planted out my two today. We’ll see what happens.

What type of paint is that you are employing on the planters? How's that hold up? I've been looking into paint options for light blocking and heat reduction, and looks like you have the answer. My small 1-2 gallon liners really cook around midday.

This is the paint I use. I have many containers that were painted as long as five years ago. I originally started painting the containers for UV protection but since I relocated to Florida it is also a great way to reduce the heat from the sun.
I usually get it from Walmart or Amazon.(it was about 2 bucks a can cheaper before the Covid fiasco)
