SKULLBIKER'S 2024 G.O.LOG

Time for a little update here. At the back of my property is another banana tree, this is an apple banana type. As the name says, they have a definite apple flavor to them.

The bananas off the top of the bunch.

All of the rest of the bunch after they hung in the screen porch and ripened.

This was a bit of a surprise in pineapple land. One of the newer plants in a gallon pot decided to fruit. Overall now there are 29 plants with fruit on them.

The fruits on the mango tree are growing rapidly now and it has dropped literally hundreds as it only holds on to what it can take care of.

And I just started getting the first decent quantity of Miracle Berry fruits.

Some pineapple plant pics. Group shot in the spare lot.

A little closer look.

This is the only plant I have that has this red tinted leaves and fruit.

Here's a Tamarind tree that has been in a 40 liter container for 5 years and not doing very well. I finally put it in the dirt where it will either live or die.

Those Miracle Fruit berries just keep on coming right now.

Nothing like a green lizard on a pineapple plant.

My redish pineapple plant in post #22 may be more rare than I think, something similar was on the news yesterday.

And, it's getting kind of warm here now. This is in the shade in my screen porch.

I was cutting down the Passion Fruit vine that was growing up in the oak tree again and I've been finding many fruits. I have harvested about 3 pints of pulp so far.

The mangos are coming in big time right now. About 40 fruit processed so far, about 50 on a table in the house doing their final ripening and a LOT left on the tree yet.

AND, I don't know how I went 70 years without eating OKRA but a couple of weeks ago I was at Costco and saw some pickled ones and thought I should try them. HOLY SHIT, THEY WERE AWESOME. And now I have planted two types so I'll be able to pickle my own and also use them in many of the yummy recipes that I have been searching. I planted them and they took 3 days to germinate!
