I did more or less the same and while it has rooted and put out new growth, it looks nothing like those nice looking plants in your photos. I feel like one I grew as a kid spit out a tiny pineapple after just about 4 months. This one is just happy being a green plant.
 
Then again, time did move differently as a kid so who knows - it was probably just my perception. 
 
Thanks for the tips! I'll be staying tuned to this one for sure.

My neighbor gave me a piece that they cut off of their Dragon Fruit plant.
 

 
I made a bunch of cuttings out of it. I will pot up the cuttings after the cuts cure for a few days.

And here are the Dragon Fruit plants started from seed. They grow as slow as the Miracle Fruit.

It did take a little shift in my location for me to be able to do it!
But, because of no freezing there is the bug and pest problem. All things considered, I'll take the heat and pests over the cold and snow.

Yesterday I picked up a six pack of Bonnie Cabbage plants. Now they're in my buckets.
 

 
My first two Meyers Lemons off of the tree I planted.

The onions and garlic are growing. Now I just have to wait and see if they produce.

I got all the Dragon Fruit cuttings into 1 gal pots. Now to wait and see if they all(or any) root.

I found another box of old seeds as I rediscover items since my move. I found some that I saved from my 2012 or 2013 garden. I think I am going to plant some and see if they germinate, quite likely a long shot at best.
 

 

 
They are Achocha seeds, they are part of the cucurbit/cucumber family. This is how the fruits look.

We have action on the OLD Achocha seeds. Six days after planting!
 

 
This looks like dirt being lifted up...........but it's not..........it's Achocha helmet head!

I decided to pot up the squash seedlings. Look at the roots on it, six days after the seed went into the mix.
