SKULLBIKERS Fun with peppers in 2021 GLOG

And so it begins, another year of growing some peppers. This will be a sort of continuation of last year

as several of those plants are still going(and many got whacked and ended up on the burn pile).

Anyway, I have 3 trays of peppers sown and many have germinated already(mostly annums). I wanted to compare several different jalapeños for taste in real time. This tray is all jalapeños, ten types from 7 different vendors. The seeds in block 3 are from 2014.

Another tray with annums at each end and mostly rocotos in the middle(and they're taking their sweet time).

Looks good, 'Biker. I think I'm going to
try your method of putting more than
one plant in my big container tubs.
Same kind you have. Except not
painted, so they are degrading after
8 seasons.

Pot - O - Mucho Nacho Jalapenos
I have this variety started from seeds of three different vendors, might be interesting to note the differences,if any. Last year they made some smokin' Cowboy Candy! I'll probably do some hot sauce with them this year.

Pot - O - Antep Aci Dolma
I still have my sauce ferment going from some last seasons pickin's.

Your plants look as if they are ready to accept more root space :D Healthy looking leaves, preparing to take off to the sky and yield fruit :)

I have also begun the repotting work. I find it rewarding, comparable to sending your little ones into adulthood   :tear:

Some have begun to set fruit already. The final potting is a bit of work as I reuse last years soil and add new compost to it. The mixing and blending takes time and effort.

The climate is very good, the bugs and pests are very bad.
At least you can attempt to mitigate the
bugs and pests!

On the other hand, I appreciate not having
those issues, beyond a few aphids, etc.

In any case, your grows are always superior,
my friend!

Just moving containers around the last few days I've come across about 10 large(as big as my index finger) grubs and probably a half dozen slugs. And then there are all the different 4 legged thief's. Stuff grows really fast here if you can keep it alive!
